Can you share the link to buy the Ford grease? I was planning to buy the kit that Mopar sells, but if that grease is better, let’s try it outMy Tazer has been un-married and removed for a good while now, between shop visit in fall to order a driveshaft per TSB, then winter storage, then back into the shop this spring for the software/ABS update and the new ...AF driveshaft.
Now that I'm hopefully not going back to dealer for a LONG time, I sure do miss some of the Tazer features. Most of all drive mode memory.
Question - anyone running Tazer in this combo = latest Tazer firmware update also with ABS recall done, and the latest UConnect update? Are they playing nice?
(FYI on my driveshaft experience - @ 12,00miles, mine didn't hardly clunk at all in cooler Maine climate. Dealer was still nice enough to pursue the upgrade under TSB. I bought the Ford grease, but figured if I can get a free driveshaft and fresh grease, I'll do that this time for free, then next time I'll just re-lube myself)
It’s being a while since last time I looked at the forum for this issue. Didn’t know about the 4th July thing. Cosmetic, software or mechanical, you can’t release an update without previous testing and affect so many customers and don’t have a roll back plan. They already have previous versions of that code, why is taking so long? And I might care or not more than you, but this truck has another issues like alignment, leather texture, clunks, CV boot, and more and I didn’t complain, because I knew it was there before buy it and some of them could potentially be there after delivery, but forcing your customers to update and mess the whole system? If you take a look at other threads around this, they are trying to release an update to fix our concerns shortly after the July 4th holiday.
And please stop with the whole "I paid $X for a vehicle, why are there problems" argument, especially when it is a cosmetic software issue that is being worked on. It is quite silly.
I had the Ford grease. Did not last any longer than whatever Mopar slop they put on. Some others on here have had better luck with Schaeffer's. I'm slowly starting to feel the clunk come back now that its getting warmer outside or I'm just paranoid. I will be applying Schaeffer's when the time comes. Can you share the link to buy the Ford grease? I was planning to buy the kit that Mopar sells, but if that grease is better, let’s try it out
I have no issue with you complaining about it, cosmetic or functional. If we don't, they will not fix it, completely behind you on that. It’s being a while since last time I looked at the forum for this issue. Didn’t know about the 4th July thing. About what I paid, is that a problem? If this would be a RAM 1500 basic model at $20-30k I might won’t mention it. If that bothers you, then don’t read and just skip the “I paid” part. Thanks! I feel sometimes a little push, but just 1-3 time and not always. I also like to start breaking slowly before getting at the stop light to skip the fully stop or just make it unnoticeable. Maybe I don’t have the issue yet, it has only 7,800 miles, but I bet it is there waiting. I will buy the driveshaft with the new part number and replace it myself. Better to pay $350 than leave the truck at the dealer for 7 days. They replaced the weatherstrips in the doors of my Durango and they left one door panel unmounted, car was opened all time, they fought to remove the trim and dent the door and made some scratches. Yep, reading that makes a whole sense. Updating that…I have no issue with you complaining about it, cosmetic or functional. If we don't, they will not fix it, completely behind you on that.
The only part I find silly is "I paid $X for something, it shouldn't break" mentality or argument. To some people, $30k to $40k is a lot of money, and if their $40k truck broke, they could say the same thing. There are vehicles out there that cost three times what the TRX does or more, and I bet their people say the same thing when they break.
Just trying to help you see from a different perspective and enhance your knowledge. If I say something that you find ridiculous, I'd hope you'd speak up as well.

Thanks for this explanation. This is what RAM should have notified to all the affected customers instead of let them knock the head against the wall. I really appreciate you sharing this and hopefully this new release will fix all our issues. The TRX screen was perfect, I wouldn’t do any update but RAM didn’t give me an option. That would be appreciated too, to allow us if to update or not. Thanks again! We wanted to provide an update to all of you about the ongoing complaints regarding the RHO graphics and other issues seen across the TRX customer population.
As those of you in this thread know, on 4/17/25 a firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) update was released as part of a planned two-step update to take your radio software from T27.46, to U29.44 and then U35.26. For vehicles that downloaded the U29.44 update before it was paused on 4/25/25, once your radio updated to U29.44, you experienced the incorrect graphics, among other issues. For those whose radios did NOT download U29.44 before the pause, the radio did not experience those issues. The graphics and other problems to the headunit apps were caused by a subsequent app-over-the-air (AOTA) update, which always follows a FOTA to ensure the apps in the headunit are updated, and in this case were incorrectly updated with the RHO-based information.
We have been made aware that over the last two weeks, although those of you still at T27.46 have not received any additional FOTA (unless it was already downloaded into your radio prior to the 4/25/25 pause), AOTA was sent and caused the same issues seen after the U29.44 update. We immediately alerted the internal parties responsible. All TRX customers will now receive the corrective AOTA that is currently being developed, which is set to be released after the July 4th holiday (timing is subject to change at any time for any reason).
There is no action that any customer needs to take at this point — in the past we requested VINs but those are not necessary as all customers will receive the new AOTA update once it is available. We apologize that this update has caused further anger and frustration for the TRX community. While Customer Care is not a part of the development or deployment process for software updates, we have been relaying your feedback continuously since April and will continue to do so to ensure we strive for a better customer experience.

I will do it! Thanks!!!!The new "AF" driveshaft is not a long term solution. It will only eliminate your clunk for a few thousand miles at the most. You would be much better off just lubing the splines yourself with Schaeffer's 238 grease. It's an easy/ straightforward procedure that shouldn't take more than an hour of your time.
Damn!!! Why is this so hard to develop a permanent solution for RAM? I would pay it instead of lubing the driveshaft every some thousand miles. Crazy! My 2024 came with the AF driveshaft from the factory. Now that it’s warmer in my area it clunks like hell, especially coming to a stop. 8k miles on the truck
You can pay it with a new after market shaftDamn!!! Why is this so hard to develop a permanent solution for RAM? I would pay it instead of lubing the driveshaft every some thousand miles. Crazy!
which aftermarket? You can pay it with a new after market shaft
which aftermarket?
