How do Uconnects update? Do ‘21s even get updated?

I think 22+ get over the air updates
Any other changes you have noticed?? My truck has randomly displayed it was going to update a few times but it never seemed to complete.. Still says version FCA-MY23.T27.46-PROD
Looks like the drive mode screen text/layout is slightly different.

Interesting, I’ve never seen that version come through on a Ram. It’s pretty old now and has already been superseded on other vehicles like JL & JT.
FWIW I ran the software one version older than yours (U29.42) on my TRX and I couldn’t select sport mode from the drive mode screen and the gauges on performance pages looked all screwy and small compared to the T27.46 SW. Some like boost were completely missing. Hope they fixed that.

Just curious, does yours still show a 6.2 on the drive mode page or the Hurricane? I saw at least one other guy who just got this update tonight and they have an RHO engine pictured on that page now.

I play with these UC5 radios a lot. And my experience with most of these MY24 “U” software versions on my TRX is that they just don’t seem like they were designed or intended for pre-refresh trucks. That’s why I surprised to see this rolled out to them.

2021s have the older UConnect 4 system, which will most likely not got any further updates, being all UConnect 4 vehicles are out of factory warranty and FCA has no motivation to update them any further. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but I doubt I am, hate to say.

Reading between the lines you better not need a new motor under warranty, that's what they're putting in!

My U-Connect screen started to update and now is glitching. No display, no music. I’ve tried to do all the resets including unhooking the battery. No luck. Any ideas?
Just checked and it does in fact show the hurricane! I thought the truck felt a little slower
Mine just updated a few minutes ago and the appearance of my drive mode and performance pages did not change.
This may be placebo…. But I feel like the suspension is softer…. Went to sit on the tailgate and I swear it sank lower than normal… this could be due to the amount of donuts

Just got the update today. Gauge screen worked for about 15 mins and then locked up. Stopped and restarted the truck and it's still frozen. Looks like everything else is working. I guess now we don't even need to take it to a dealership for them to f^&k it up. I'll let it sit overnight and will try again tomorrow. Wish there was a way to opt out of the "upgrades"

I noticed the gauge screen buggy similar to the old software. I opened up the gauges in the performance pages and it seems to “force” update/unfreeze them.Just got the update today. Per the usual some random glitches to be expected with Uconnect.
Smaller detail I noticed, for the boost gauge it has a picture of a turbo instead of the twin screw style in other areas.
Something I noticed since the update that didn’t happen before- I’m suddenly getting notifications on the screen for broke. Down vehicles on the road. This is not through CarPlay. It shuts off the music, a page appears with the notification, and it needs to be cleared by pressing “ok”.
The first time this came up yesterday, the music came back on, but it happened today and my music didn’t continue.
