Uconnect update I actually like… so far

Interesting, I’ve never seen that version come through on a Ram. It’s pretty old now and has already been superseded on other vehicles like JL & JT.

FWIW I ran the software one version older than yours (U29.42) on my TRX and I couldn’t select sport mode from the drive mode screen and the gauges on performance pages looked all screwy and small compared to the T27.46 SW. Some like boost were completely missing. Hope they fixed that.View attachment 144981

Mine just updated last night to U29.44 and this is what I’m seeing now. Gauges missing and vehicle dynamics and output graphs seem to be for the RHO Hurricane. Also can’t select sport from the menu anymore.

Bummer. No way to revert back to an older SW either so all you can hope for is that they push yet another update. Drive mode issue is fixed on U35.26 (which is what 2025 trucks have now) but still stuck with RHO graphics on that version.

All the issues you guys are having I uncovered months ago. Really feel like this update wasn’t supposed to go out to us, but what do I know.

I always just bite the bullet and do a factory reset right after a software update, followed by two reboots in a row with the power button. On a previous update, there were new camera features that never even showed up until I did the factory reset a month later, so I always just do that.

@RamCares please return the TRX uconnect to its former glory. We need our old drive mode, race options and performance pages restored!

We do not want the RHO pages that are graphically wrong and incorrectly scaled for our screen size. This is not helping you guys rebuild the brand.

PS- if you want to fix something make uconnect have Android Auto go Full Screen!

It makes you think about these forced updates and how you have no control over your vehicle that you "bought." It almost feels like vandalism but that is a stretch, more like some incompetent person at the DMV misspelling your name on your license.

That’s not new to this update. That’s the HAAS Alert system that’s been available for a few years now on our Uconnect radios. It all depends what emergency vehicles in your area subscribe to it. In your case, a stranded motorist called for roadside assistance, and that roadside assistance company was subscribed to it.

Is there a way to force the update? Would be nice to be able to just tell it to update so I can plan for some uconnect gremlins.

I’m asking as a current couch potato and would like cheat code answers handed to me on a silver platter. (Not making fun of anyone in this thread, more so the internet as a whole where folks come to pose questions and expecting ONLY correct answers while having done zero attempts on their own and can’t be bothered to do any tinkering on their own time)

Also I am legitimately curious if they’ll let you force it or you just have just be a good little boy and wait your turn. From an IT perspective, there should be a force update option, might not be as simple as “push this button” but I guarantee it exists. Might be a dealer-tool-required type of situation. But I’ll tinker when I get back in my truck and see if i was graced with the update and if not I’ll tinker and see if I can figure it out. Will post my findings.

From what I have gathered, your vin will be selected in batches or the dealer can force update at times.

I received the new update today 4/21/25, so far I lost the sport mode (general). Also, in the custom mode I cannot choose sport transmission, and I lost the race widget. @RamCares

Nope. Just changed things that did not need to be changed.

Same for me the next day except my drive modes are fine. Boost and IC temp are missing. On a positive note, traffic is finally working with Navigation.

I really hope this was a mistake and it’s fixed soon.
