TRX Stolen Dallas area

It’s also very easy to remove the speaker from the AirTag so it cannot play a sound. Finding one in a vehicle isn’t as easy as you’d think.

Fair points but we’re not reading about these trucks being stolen in rural areas.

. . . just taken to them ;) . . . these are 'offroad' trucks afterrall.

Yeah, so many places to hide one for sure!!! Good news at least for speaker removal!

I guess owning a TRX in America is pretty interesting these days: You wait forever to get one to come in so you can then worry about it getting stolen every minute thereafter

Thats what the whole discussion is about . . .

. . . making it so we dont HAVE to. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

This is really ridiculous as it would suggest most RAM products are vulnerable. Wait 6 months, loose it in 6 days and based on what the truck is you will never want it back.

Mine (Black TRX) was stolen in October in Houston TX. I had hidden GPS on it and knew the minute it moved. I was out of state but called it in and called it out for the cops. They had the truck in 46 minutes from when it rolled. $7k in damage and two months out of commission for that 46 minute ride. They popped driver's side window and hooked up the lap top and de-programmed and re-programmed it and they were off and running. I got mine back just before Christmas and so far so good. Rides like new. Good luck on this one. I will be pulling for you.

Were the thieves caught?

No, The cops rolled into a hospital parking garage where they were stashing the truck about 1 min behind and they were gone. They did get hospital video of them and video from gas station across the street. Probably that was the extent of it.

What GPS were you using? Always nice to know which products actually resulted in recovered vehicles. Thanks.

The Disk with SilverCloud real time GPS tracking. It was $169 and the monthly depends on how much you want updates. 3 seconds, 10 seconds et al. I think 3seconds was $49/month but it goes down as the time moves up. It worked to at least get the truck back.

Agree 100%. I'm wondering how Raptors hold up against theft? Im sure thieves will take it if they really want to, but G3 Raptors are a very hot commodity as well.

You got it boss. I called it in from CA that it was rolling in Houston. So far I have it until the rats decide to take it again.

So, a Valerco would have stopped them? Shock sensor?

How often do you change out the battery?
