Uconnect is a joke..... On the app all it gives you it's the last known location... so that means the vehicle could've been there 2 hours ago and still showing the same location..... To have live location it needs to be in theft recovery assistance mode. When activated you automatic loose access to the app..... at that point only Uconnect can call the police with the location... in my case if you put those 2 together Uconnect and Dallas police it looks like a comedy show......
No they never did, Dallas police is a joke. Detective called me one week later to find out the details on how it happened.... Ended up buying a Ram 2500 instead, because I didn't feel like watching every place I go. Sad that we work so hard to enjoy stuff and we can't because of those mother f*&*&s......

Not trying to defend uConnect but you can update the location in the Ram app by pushing the circle icon.Uconnect is a joke..... I opted to have a Compustar anti theft system with the instigated Drone technology.
Drone X1-LTE Smartphone Telematics module is the perfect solution. Unless they did some changes to the app. If I were you, I'd have somebody drive the truck while you stay where the truck was and try to locate it. That's what happened to me, I went to the location displayed on the app and never found the truck, called Uconnect to find out the location on the app is the last location the app connected to the servers. When you hit refresh it seems like it's refreshing but it's not.
Thank you brother......... It's a 2022 2500 loaded laramie with Cummins power, well I thought it was loaded.....lol come to find out after I bought it that Ram is not installing blind spot detectors in any trim but the limited, so I had to install it myself.
Very nice. Mine started out the same before AEV got hold of it.
Man... threads like this make my blood boil. Makes me glad I live a little out of the way of the few bad areas we have here, and the truck will always be garage-kept. And I don't usually go anywhere that would be cause for worry either.

I’m in DFW….in the burbs…“2nd safest city in the nation” or some BS, and I will still install an IGLA or Compustar Drone, or both, because I like to go to Plano/Dallas/FTW/etc and do not want to worry. It’s sad but necessary.

Precisely why I had IGLA installed. I live outside of the major city areas, but commute to Dallas for work from time to time and frequent FTW on the weekends. It’s worth the money to have the peace of mind that my truck will be where I parked it.

I have the exact same system and it cost just about what you did, I like it, I know it works because I left my dogs in my truck to go into a store to get some beer and they set the alarm off from shock and I got a notification on my phone…..Some copy / paste here from their website:

You can only do so much and I’m hoping that both of us made a wise decision, I don’t even carry the Compustar fob, I just rely on my factory fob which arms the system and then the drone app on my phone is more than enough.
Caring around two fobs is like carrying around another nut sack, I just can’t do it.
