Hopefully, this will get fixed before 2026.
Today I looked at the screen and ... Oh God, why did they do that? My TRX was perfect (except for the gap between the passenger fender and the A-pillar, I will try to fix it).

I did not read heads up display. He wrote head unit which is the big screen where the radio is.

Never heard the big screen called the "head unit". Regardless I don't want any ads.

Uconnect Error Code: -5 means that you are trying to downgrade your trim level from TRX to RHO. You guys need to stop trying to update from V8 to something else.

Yep, I have the same thing. The software update was paused, but we got the subsequent app-over-the-air (AOTA) update, AKA RHO graphics.

I've the old build number and the new AOTA update, which I think might be the worst of both worlds. I've the RHO graphics and something about the AOTA is making my CarPlay freeze up and require a reboot on every-single-drive. What's more, my kid recently created an alternate profile for herself, and switching between the two profiles (hers/mine) has made that stupid games logo reappear at the top of the screen. That games logo had been gone from my UConnect for months. I hate that it is back.

This whole UConnect experience is the worst experience I've EVER had with a car. No exaggeration.

Hi everyone,
We have good news! The first phase of app-over-the-air (AOTA) fixes should be arriving to vehicles this weekend. Please note that this is NOT a full launch to every single TRX owner yet, but we are hopeful that a majority of you here on the forum will be in the first wave. As is Stellantis policy, the national launch to all customers will follow in about a week, barring any issues in this initial batch. We hate to have to say it, but this timing is subject to change at any time for any reason. We will let you know as soon as possible if there is a change to any of this.

Please note, this is specifically for the graphics, and the AOTA is hitting the apps in the radio that were affected with the RHO graphics. We want to be transparent in that specificity because we are aware that there were several other concerns mentioned after the FOTA/AOTA — this is solely to fix the graphics and should not be considered a fix for any other concern. Additionally, AOTAs are considered a 'silent' update, unlike FOTAs that show a pop-up to alert you of the update; there will be no specific indication that the update has occurred (this has always been the way AOTAs function). The expectation is that it could take 2-3 days for the update to fully complete and sync to the radio (it's not an instantaneous update).

Hopefully this is good news to take you into your weekend. As a reminder, we are not active here on Saturday or Sunday but will be checking in on Monday to see if anyone has been successfully updated. We will also keep tabs on the full launch and let you all know when to expect that.

I'll probably get this first wave because they probably want me to experience the "Alfa" build's new and improved personalized Alexa Ad's....

But I hope you guys at least get the beta build...

Fingers crossed I'm wrong, and that they actually fix this. If they do, that will be quite a testament to the power of this awesome forum!
