Sadly if you get the unit replaced (which they will say NO) sooner than later it will update by itself. No matter what you do, they will always screw it up.I have not seen any over-the-air update change to my truck, a 24 final edition, that I paid big bucks for, and I have to look at rho graphics on the screen, and all the gauges are screwed up too. Nothing has changed for me, I have the same crappy screen that Ram screwed up...
No change, nothing different, or h o graphics on my 24 final Edition TRX that I paid big bucks for, did I say that? Is anyone listening? Nope they're not cuz they don't care. They just string us along.
I think we should all take our cars to the dealership show them the wrong graphics, and complain. I know what they will do, if you're under warranty they will order a new head unit. That'll cost Ram a lot of money if everyone who's still under warranty does that. Then maybe they'll fix this freaking mess that they caused. The only thing they're going to understand is money, money, money. They don't give a rip about us
@RamCares... you need to change your name to...@ramcaresdoesntcareinfactweareloafatyoutrxownersforbelievingwewereEVERgoingtofixthis
Wake up boys and girls, they're never going to fix it, they don't really care, they're going to keep stringing us along on this forum, until we sue their asses or take our trucks into dealer and DEMAND they replace Uconnect screen which will cost them big.
And that's what we need to do, cost them big.
And even if replacing Uconnect doesn't work, which it won't, many dealerships will do that to try to fix the situation.
And it still then costs them big.
Then maybe...just maybe... they'll fix it for Good by hiring some programmers who can speak English and understand Gearheads... where is Tim K. on this issue he's the only one that would actually give a rip.
Yeah! I agreed, and sometimes we are so hard with @RamCares that have nothing to do with the people sending the updates. RamCares only takes inquiries and passes them to another level. What is pissing me off is each release something gets broken or fix anything. We just need a stable version where the damn RHO graphic is fixed, no glitches and lost performance pages. Seriously, this can’t be so hard if they really wanna try. I’m software developer and know they have the stable code in a repository. You always can launch an update based on specific VIN or dates (I have no idea how they define this for their systems) and the big issue with those units is not accepting rollbacks. I want to believe there is a way to change that, I can do that on Sync3 in my Ford unit, and it is old technology. I just hope they can give us a good version and don’t touch it anymore. Just curious how the new TRX is coming out with those units.Just imagine where we would be without Diamond. It's frustrating but it could be worse. I'm half confident things are moving forward.
You're missing the point. It's about getting them to feel the pain of our pain. I said it wouldn't do any good. That doesn't mean we shouldn't stick it to ram for what they're doing, and what they've done to our trucks.Sadly if you get the unit replaced (which they will say NO) sooner than later it will update by itself. It's not that I don’t appreciate RamCares, I do, it’s much easier to vent to them on a forum than waste time at a dealership that can’t fix the issue anyway. But in some ways, their presence may have inadvertently made the situation worse. By existing, they insulate Ram from the real pain of the problem. Without RamCares's presence, hundreds (or even thousands) of owners would likely be at dealerships, incurring real costs in labor and parts, which would have forced Ram to formally acknowledge the issue with a bulletin or a recall. Instead, Ram has gotten off nearly scot-free, apart from a growing reputational hit, and can afford to deal with the issue entirely at their own leisure.Just imagine where we would be without Diamond. It's frustrating but it could be worse. I'm half confident things are moving forward.
I know, I know... Probably taking another action on our own instead of waiting for @RamCares updates? I'm not familiar with what we could do against RAM in order to get this fix. You're missing the point. It's about getting them to feel the pain of our pain. I said it wouldn't do any good. That doesn't mean we shouldn't stick it to ram for what they're doing, and what they've done to our trucks.
And while you may not, I have a good relationship with my service department. They would certainly replace it, they are extremely responsive to everything I ask them. So, I have no doubt. I also know as you stated, it won't do any good... But it may put a smile on my face knowing that it cost stellantis a few bucks![]()
