Uconnect update I actually like… so far

I have not seen any over-the-air update change to my truck, a 24 final edition, that I paid big bucks for, and I have to look at rho graphics on the screen, and all the gauges are screwed up too. Nothing has changed for me, I have the same crappy screen that Ram screwed up...

No change, nothing different, or h o graphics on my 24 final Edition TRX that I paid big bucks for, did I say that? Is anyone listening? Nope they're not cuz they don't care. They just string us along.

I think we should all take our cars to the dealership show them the wrong graphics, and complain. I know what they will do, if you're under warranty they will order a new head unit. That'll cost Ram a lot of money if everyone who's still under warranty does that. Then maybe they'll fix this freaking mess that they caused. The only thing they're going to understand is money, money, money. They don't give a rip about us

@RamCares... you need to change your name to...@ramcaresdoesntcareinfactweareloafatyoutrxownersforbelievingwewereEVERgoingtofixthis

Wake up boys and girls, they're never going to fix it, they don't really care, they're going to keep stringing us along on this forum, until we sue their asses or take our trucks into dealer and DEMAND they replace Uconnect screen which will cost them big.

And that's what we need to do, cost them big.

And even if replacing Uconnect doesn't work, which it won't, many dealerships will do that to try to fix the situation.

And it still then costs them big.

Then maybe...just maybe... they'll fix it for Good by hiring some programmers who can speak English and understand Gearheads... where is Tim K. on this issue he's the only one that would actually give a rip.
Sadly if you get the unit replaced (which they will say NO) sooner than later it will update by itself. No matter what you do, they will always screw it up.

Just imagine where we would be without Diamond. It's frustrating but it could be worse. I'm half confident things are moving forward 🤞.

Yeah! I agreed, and sometimes we are so hard with @RamCares that have nothing to do with the people sending the updates. RamCares only takes inquiries and passes them to another level. What is pissing me off is each release something gets broken or fix anything. We just need a stable version where the damn RHO graphic is fixed, no glitches and lost performance pages. Seriously, this can’t be so hard if they really wanna try. I’m software developer and know they have the stable code in a repository. You always can launch an update based on specific VIN or dates (I have no idea how they define this for their systems) and the big issue with those units is not accepting rollbacks. I want to believe there is a way to change that, I can do that on Sync3 in my Ford unit, and it is old technology. I just hope they can give us a good version and don’t touch it anymore. Just curious how the new TRX is coming out with those units.

You're missing the point. It's about getting them to feel the pain of our pain. I said it wouldn't do any good. That doesn't mean we shouldn't stick it to ram for what they're doing, and what they've done to our trucks.

And while you may not, I have a good relationship with my service department. They would certainly replace it, they are extremely responsive to everything I ask them. So, I have no doubt. I also know as you stated, it won't do any good... But it may put a smile on my face knowing that it cost stellantis a few bucks🤷‍♂️🤣👍

It's not that I don’t appreciate RamCares, I do, it’s much easier to vent to them on a forum than waste time at a dealership that can’t fix the issue anyway. But in some ways, their presence may have inadvertently made the situation worse. By existing, they insulate Ram from the real pain of the problem. Without RamCares's presence, hundreds (or even thousands) of owners would likely be at dealerships, incurring real costs in labor and parts, which would have forced Ram to formally acknowledge the issue with a bulletin or a recall. Instead, Ram has gotten off nearly scot-free, apart from a growing reputational hit, and can afford to deal with the issue entirely at their own leisure.

I know, I know... Probably taking another action on our own instead of waiting for @RamCares updates? I'm not familiar with what we could do against RAM in order to get this fix.

Any “good” update? 😅 @RamCares do you know one thing that your development team could give us after all this situation and fix the whole system for TRXs? Would be cool to have an option in the menu system to change running lights in amber mode, something like: “DLR Lights: Default / Amber Mode”. Just letting this suggestion here 😉

So this may or may not be related to the new software, but I had something strange happen yesterday. I was filling the gas tank with the motor running. All doors were closed. As soon as tank was full the horn honked a few times and the hazards turned on. I haven't changed any settings. I've never used the tire fill function and air pressures are normal. Is it just a normal glitch or something new 🤔?

Weird, but why filling up your tank with engine on? Just curious

I don't like to do it especially when its really low. Wife, nephew, and niece like air conditioning. We were grabbing gas real quick before meeting mother in law for her birthday lunch. Figured I could keep occupants happy and shave a little time by leaving it running. Those igla re starts cost at least 30 seconds 🐌 🤣.

Maybe low key fob battery?

That's the IGLA hijack mode that engaged. If the vehicle is running and you open a door, IGLA goes into hijack mode.

Man, I don’t leave any of my cars idling. We live in Florida. So everyone is more than welcome to learn how to fill up my tank or just wait 2-3 mins without AC. Also, accidents can happen with engine on. 😉

Ahhhhhhhh! Right! He has IGLA. Again, everybody is more than welcome to watch me filling up my tank! 😂😆 My wife says: “Ate you turning off the car?” And my answer: “Yep, you will never understand” 😂😂😂… If it is too hot, I roll windows down and let the air to flow! 😉

If the outside temperature is more than ~80, l often have mine idling and AC on for more than an hour while parked.

IGLA anti-theft system will activate the hazard lights in two primary situations:

1. Disarming confirmation
When you enter the correct PIN code to disarm the system and allow the vehicle to be started, the hazard lights will flash two times to confirm that the code was accepted.

2. Super anti-carjack mode
For vehicles equipped with this feature, the system works to prevent carjacking by not blocking the engine immediately. Instead, it allows a carjacker to drive a short distance (around 300 meters) before starting its countermeasures. If the PIN code is not entered within a specific time after the alarm signal begins, the IGLA system will:
  • Flash the exterior emergency (hazard) lights.
  • Sound the horn.
  • Bring the engine to a stop.

Hi everyone, thank you, we've forwarded the complaints and continued issues you all are having. As mentioned previously, the inaccurate horsepower number is set to be resolved in the next round of AOTA. There are not currently any FOTA or AOTA updates running at this time, and we are aware some trucks still have not received the corrected graphics, which is being further investigated. We expect updates to begin running again soon and will post when we know the HP fix is set to launch to all of you.

As a quick reminder, we’re just the social media team. Our role is to gather your feedback, questions, and concerns and forward them to our internal departments for review and resolution. We don’t make or manage the actual updates or decisions ourselves, but we do make sure your voices are heard by the right people. We truly appreciate everyone who continues to show patience, kindness, and understanding as we pass your messages along and share updates as soon as we receive them. Your grace makes a huge difference! Thank you for letting us do our part and keeping communication open and respectful.

Correcting the HP graph would be appreciated but do they have the second page of gauges disappearing on their list of things to address as well? If the radio is reset, the second page of gauges comes back for a time but then it disappears again. I think this is a common occurrence for most users as well.
