Uconnect update I actually like… so far

Another UConnect update that still doesn't fix the random wireless Android Auto disconnect issues.
That will never be fixed. You are best off getting one of those usb boxes that uses carplay for android and you will get full screen android with zero issues

If I leave my phone in my truck plugged into the USB port below the radio while shopping, the truck does not reconnect Android Auto. Never a problem until that last updates.

Yeah, wired works fine, wireless sucks.

Prefer the AA half screen to the ugly Carplay full screen personally, just wish it stayed connected so I don't have to wear out my charge port plugging it in every time I get in the truck.

My AA officially $hit the bed this morning. Lost connection and never reconnected in the ~2 hours of driving / 4 resets. Will have to try plugging it in to see if that works.

Have you tried deleting and re-pairing your phone?

I'm running U35.26 but it seems like it is 50/50 whether the graphics will be RHO or TRX. The graphics swap back and forth whenever they want.
My truck wakes up as a TRX and go to sleep as a RHO 😂😆

The AOTA, since it was specifically developed for the graphics issue, is only supposed to fix the incorrect RHO engine popping up. The full radio software updates (FOTA) are what we expect to fix other items. Since the AOTA is only for apps, it's a more limited range of what it can fix/address.

The majority of customers here (and in general) should be receiving FOTA updates that go from U29.44 (which is when the RHO issue was discovered) to U35.26 (which had been paused until recently) -- this is the full list of symptoms and fixes from the TSB that this two-step update addresses:

Customers may experience one or more of the following:
● Unable to select the Turn by Turn Navigation.
● Blank performance pages (Rearview Camera (RVC) functions normally).
● Android Auto® Voice Recognition (VR) inoperative.
● Media Tuner delayed.
● Charge Schedule not accepting updates via phone (RVC functions normally).
● Ambient light inoperative.
● Map in Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) inoperative.
● Media Widget blank.
● Navigation Map black.
● Off-Road Pages inoperative (RVC functions normally).
● VR inoperative.
● Incorrect song title displayed (Carplay® only).
● Radio display switches from Media Page to Home Page (RVC functions normally).
● Ghost touch on Navigation screen (RVC functions normally).
● Widgets missing.
● New User Profile does not load.
● Returns to wrong page after View Camera Event selected by customer in the Camera View Pages (RVC
functions normally)

If customers are experiencing any other symptoms not listed above, please let us know so we can forward to our internal team. Thank you!

@RamCares i don’t know if this one was reported, but when I press any drive mode, the tab won’t stay focused, it will focus back to “Auto” tab.

That has been reported by a few of us, but the video helps them understand the issue better.
I have watched couple videos about this at Facebook and a lot of comments about people having this issue. First thing I noticed when I selected Sport! That day I had the hellcat engine… what a beautiful image! Next day, the damn RHO engine.

But it is AA and not Carplay, it uses the Carplay protocol for full screen but everything is AA

This has always been an issue with iOS on my 2023. Still does it 29 months since purchase.

Yep, but no luck. In the past, that worked all the time.
I have had this issue a few times, not sure if it was always the issue, but if you go into the phone settings when it paired, make sure AA is toggled on, for some reason it would just toggle off for me. Not the AA icon next to the paired phone, but actually within the settings. Drove me nuts for awhile.

Another issue I get frequent is, when first driving my AC will just shut off, then settings go to warm air / defrost mode. You cannot get it off this mode unless you turn off your car and reset.

I have not updated my software yet…. My truck goes in tomorrow to fix a recall and I bet they want to do the upgrade. Should I say no?

You're going to get the software whether you like it or not. Mine updated recently on its own, without any knowledge/consent on my part. I just happened to notice that something looked different, so I checked and saw that it was updated.
So you might as well let them do it manually if they want to.

Thank you everyone for providing us with the list of additional concerns. We have forwarded them to our internal team for further review. We truly appreciate everyone's efforts and patience during this time

We do not appreciate RAM's lack of urgency resolving this issue in a timely manner.

Mine has started repeatedly rebooting during drive. Of course I am on a road trip…

Dance party (missing buttons and screen shifts back and forth)

All infotainment functions gone and AC was flaky. Driving back from Mojave desert this isn’t okay today.

So at Ram now.

Any known fix for said dance party?

You can try pushing the volume and tune buttons for ~10 seconds to reboot it. I tried doing that to mine while driving and it wouldn't correct itself until I shut the truck off for a while. Once I started it up, everything was back to normal.
