Uconnect update I actually like… so far

Well this is not encouraging. @RamCares what is happening here?

Hey guys, I have seen a few posts on Facebook about the screen going black and unresponsive. I thought I read that disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes could help, but someone told me that disconnecting the battery could cause issues with Active Damping Suspension, ESC, loss of adaptive memory, and so on.
So, my question is: Should I always use a memory saver device plugged into OBD-II when I am working with the battery?

Same here. Ram was never on my radar. The TRX was such a unique package and such a better interior that it sucked me in. It is still hard for me to understand how a company would let simple things like a software glitch (or flawed driveline) destroy so much good will. Then looking at all the RHO issues...... I think your "shit company" assessment is on target.
200% agree... RAM is shitting on us and with something so damn simple like an update. One day I have a TRX, another I have an RHO. @RamCares, tell RAM that they are doing a great job! And still they want to release a 2026 TRX overpriced with a bunch of issues from this generation and not this shitty system. I wouldn't think about buying another TRX until I know they fixed all their shit. No happy @RamCares, no happy.

Funny thing is that I own another "Mopar"/Stellantis/Dodge product, a Durango, and man, for 3 years I haven't had any uConnect issue with updates. They have done like 2 updates, and always for the better. Only issue since earlier is a random message popping up every time that the radio/antenna is communicating, they obviously dont know what is happening, some people assuming connectors issues, cable issues or antenna issues, but I run a test for codes and there are codes for subwoofer, antenna circuit opened, and so on, so this is Mopar product!

That message went away after disconnecting the battery.
This is the message I was talking about on my Durango. Common issue in Durango community.

Mine just started updating without approval in the middle of a long Interstate road trip on Sat! F'ing bullsh#t as it locked out the screen until it finished and then all the functions (climate control, media, etc) were broken for over an hour until the next stop when I was able to shut the truck down long enough for it to fully reset. Everything appears to be back to normal now but I did have to reset my shortcut and favorite screens.

This is when it usually updates for me too, on long trips. I guess it doesn't matter recently, as it's just completely effed up the past few months.

Did you have any issues after disconnecting the battery? like calibration or something? How long?

This is what piss me off, why does an update have to go without user approval and in the middle of a trip? Just imagine this fucks something, and you have to cancel your trip. One more time, well done RAM!

No issues, I just disconnected the negative terminal for about 20min.

Also when I installed the Brawler Fab battery box, I had the battery out of the truck for a few hours and no issues after connecting it back up.

Only early 2021s had issues losing the suspension calibration after the battery disconnect.

FWIW pulling interior fuse F44 will kill power to the radio the same as disconnecting the battery.

That's good to know!

Hi everyone,
The current timing we've been given for the corrected AOTA is mid-September. We will keep you posted as we get closer to that timeframe and are given more specificity on timing. As always, timing is subject to change. We appreciate everyone's patience during this time.

But, do you have an idea or could you ask for us what confirmed fixes it will bring? A lot of people experiencing black outs, the infamous RHO engine, bad fonts, Sport (others) mode tab won’t staying active (going back to Auto), and so on. Any hint?
