Uconnect update I actually like… so far

The UConnect 5 disaster thus far is a huge reason why I’d hesitate to trade my 2021 with the UConnect 4 for a 2026 TRX. Right now I’m good with the Performance Pages taking up to 60 seconds to load. All my modes work, I don’t have a Hurricane engine, nor any of the other issues I’ve seen.

Looks fine to me. If you're in the ocean. Are you in the ocean?
If you long press the power button on the screen, it will “fix” until next time you turn the truck on. @RamCares thats another complain to add at the long list of issues! Look what this people have done with an unnecessary update that I didn’t want

Hey @Eighty and it looks like a firewall flash when tries to load it!

I've been wondering since the TRX was axed two years ago. The RHO took over what was the TRX. Same platform just small engine. However, didn't it move to the new electrical architecture?

I don't know how programming and coding works. But if there is no longer a TRX being sold. The new RHO took its place with the new electrical system including system bus.

This to me looks like the code is RHO and it is not communicating with the old TRX system, CANBUS or whatever.

We aren't ever going to get our TRX engine graphics back if they never sell a TRX again. Those programmers and the code has been shit canned along with the truck 😡

Hi everyone,
We wanted to let you know where we are with the ongoing issues you've faced with the RHO graphics and the update to restore your head unit apps. Right now, we are expecting to hear a timing update on the AOTA to resolve the most recent issue with the TRX graphic reverting to RHO by early next week, which we can then share here to keep all of you in the loop.
We apologize that this situation is ongoing and are looking forward to getting this resolved for all of you.

Does anyone have a class action lawsuit on this yet?

If not like this and I will get an attorney to start proceedings. I didn’t buy a bricked infotainment unit or an RHO with shit handling and less HP.

For mild inconvenience? Has anyone reported and proven any sort of "damages" from this issue?
Most of the reported symptoms reflect a loss of functionality, ranging from missing features to systems that no longer operate as intended. These impairments could reasonably be considered damages.

But, do you have an idea or could you ask for us what confirmed fixes it will bring? A lot of people experiencing black outs, the infamous RHO engine, bad fonts, Sport (others) mode tab won’t staying active (going back to Auto), and so on. Any hint?
The AOTA, since it was specifically developed for the graphics issue, is only supposed to fix the incorrect RHO engine popping up. The full radio software updates (FOTA) are what we expect to fix other items. Since the AOTA is only for apps, it's a more limited range of what it can fix/address.

The majority of customers here (and in general) should be receiving FOTA updates that go from U29.44 (which is when the RHO issue was discovered) to U35.26 (which had been paused until recently) -- this is the full list of symptoms and fixes from the TSB that this two-step update addresses:

Customers may experience one or more of the following:
● Unable to select the Turn by Turn Navigation.
● Blank performance pages (Rearview Camera (RVC) functions normally).
● Android Auto® Voice Recognition (VR) inoperative.
● Media Tuner delayed.
● Charge Schedule not accepting updates via phone (RVC functions normally).
● Ambient light inoperative.
● Map in Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) inoperative.
● Media Widget blank.
● Navigation Map black.
● Off-Road Pages inoperative (RVC functions normally).
● VR inoperative.
● Incorrect song title displayed (Carplay® only).
● Radio display switches from Media Page to Home Page (RVC functions normally).
● Ghost touch on Navigation screen (RVC functions normally).
● Widgets missing.
● New User Profile does not load.
● Returns to wrong page after View Camera Event selected by customer in the Camera View Pages (RVC
functions normally)

If customers are experiencing any other symptoms not listed above, please let us know so we can forward to our internal team. Thank you!

The App button keeps reappearing at the top of the screen. No way to permanently remove it. It covers up what song and station is playing.

OK, I just checked and I'm at 35.26 and I'm still having issues "at times". I haven't checked everything but the the gauges are still freezing up from time to time. At least now I have figured out how to get them working again. When they do freeze, I hold down the radio on/off button for ~10 seconds. The system will reset and "usually" the gauges start working again. Sometimes I've had to reset it two or three times to get things working again. Good thing (I guess) is I can do this while driving.

Reminds me of products (e.g. NoLimits) from ZAutomotive. They need to be reset fairly frequently too.

I don't see any mention of restoring all of the missing engine gauges. I used to have two pages of gauges that I could monitor, but now it's less than one page.

Another UConnect update that still doesn't fix the random wireless Android Auto disconnect issues.

Press and hold the volume button for like ten seconds. The second page of gauges comes back for one key cycle if you do that. It’s like the two OS’s are fighting for dominance. My drive mode ghost selects back to auto, but it stays in whatever mode I choose. Drives me nuts. Wrong RHO graphics too even on the latest 35.26.

I just had this update yesterday and so far the V8 is back on the performance pages picture. And still just one page of gauges. The drives modes are acting strange when you try to customize the settings.
