I tried doing this on my way home today and the soft reset has stopped working. Held down that volume button for a good 60 seconds while driving and nothing. Thanks Ram!

You can also do it from the “Vehicle” tab. Scroll all the way down to “Reset” and then select “Restart radio”. Does the same thing.

Mine was unresponsive to the soft reset the other day. The 12" screen was locked up too. Not sure if you had that going on at the same time. I had to do 3 ignition cycles to get the screen to unlock. After that the soft reset worked again.

I spent the better part of an hour re-configuring everything like just like I want it. Two days later the gauges started freezing up again. I F*%^ing give up.

Mine was unresponsive to the soft reset the other day. The 12" screen was locked up too. Not sure if you had that going on at the same time. I had to do 3 ignition cycles to get the screen to unlock. After that the soft reset worked again.

The screen wasn’t locked up but it was acting odd which is why I was attempting the soft reset. I will see what the morning brings and go from there.

Now with this latest update it constantly does this…. Screen jumps around to other crap and then blanks out. Can’t turn off climate control, cannot use any of the lower buttons, it’s just a big useless annoying randomly flashing screen.

@RamCares i fully understand random glitches but this is way past that. Majority of owners infotainment has been unusable for months.

Funny thing about my super duty’s synch system, it works. Screens don’t freeze, I click a button and it responds, volume knob responds when turned, etc…. Perhaps stellantis needs to hire a single ford programmer to fix this mess.

I had the same problem this morning. After two resets and a power cycle all was back to normal. I even have the hellcat engine back and both pages of gauges. Everything seemed to be working great until I used the navigation. The radio shows the navigation just fine but when the dash cluster is switched to view navigation the screen is blue and frozen with no visible roads.

The "upgrade" was soooo close.

To be fair, UC5 has been nearly flawless until this lame ass update was force on us...at least for me it has.

Mine had pretty bad lag pretty much since day one. That and randomly having guages freeze.

This update has been 1000 times worse that those little issues though.

Crazy how different each of our experiences have been. I had issues with traffic and POI's not showing up on the map about 12 months ago. Ram Connect got that issue squared away and it's been nearly perfect until this update. Other than my screen freezing up a few days ago, it has functioned flawlessly otherwise. I had UC4 in a 2021 Laramie. I really didn't have any complaints with that system, but it was slow compared to the UC5 in my TRX. I've driven a lot of brands over the last few years and so far UC4/5 have been my two favorite radios.

No, it just showed up today. I had the update go through 2 days ago and after I get past that message, everything seems to work fine so far.

If it's still there tomorrow I'll disconnect the battery and if that doesn't work, maybe I'll try and take things apart and disconnect the Uconnect box. Anyone know how to get to that?

In short, you have to pull the upper glove box, unplug everything from the TBM, run a Fakra jumper between two of the connections (brown and blue) so the GPS and SXM will still work, and then disable everything under ECUCONFIG 18 with AlfaOBD, or that box error will persist.

On the highly unlikely chance that Ram eventually pushes an update that’s functional, I probably wouldn’t delete telematics now. You’re closing the barn door after the horse ran away.

You actually wouldn’t have been too far off. Still have to pull the screen to get access to the upper glovebox hardware.
