TRX Tyrant

He has

Thanks!

So what’s the sweet spot for offset to get a more aggressive stance but decrease the chance of rubbing on a 20x10 or even 20x9.5?? 0 offset? -5 ? I don’t like the +15 I currently have

Maybe they would put the -18 spec on if you were to sign something to the effect of "I'll deal with issues that arise"? If not, it seems 0 offset would be OK, and Vossen can make those. Granger should eat that cost.

I reached out to Hennessey for this exact question because I like the stance of their vehicles. They stated they're on a 20x9 wheel with 0 offset for the 37s (either 37x12.5x20 or 37x13.5x20 tires, which is up to the customer) and have no rubbing. Soo, tend to agree the 0 offset might be best bet....but there are lots of folks on here with varying offsets to chime in.

When I was considering 37s for my PowerWagon, I researched the rubbing quite a bit. This video is the best I found on what trimming is involved. From the description of the rubbing from Miles and that it would require cutting metal and touch-up painting, my guess is the TRX would require somewhat similar modifications. Other guys claimed they could use vice grips and bend the pinch weld and avoid the cutting. YMMV.

So funny b/c i had to shave my pinch weld on my WK2 and WL (grand cherokees) just to fit 31.6" tires on em haha. Not a hard job but not something most ppl want to have their dealer(s) do to their brand new $100k truck

Just a little fender trimming and you’ll be fine. 😂

Took delivery of my 2022 TRX Tyrant today at Granger Motors in Granger, IA. January 2022 order date (302913 VIN). Overall a positive experience. Some minor hiccups along the way but I left happy with the truck and experience. Drove home about 280 miles. The 55 mph suggestion for the first 100 miles was brutal! However, the truck ran flawlessly. 32 miles on the odometer at time of delivery. Unfortunately it was raining at the time of delivery but things appeared to be in good condition. I'll wash it up tomorrow and go over things closely. Significantly taller than my 2019 Raptor. One minor unexpected change in the 37 package....see if you can pick it up....

Love the White!!! My 21 is the Granite and ordered Sandblast 2023 Tyrant from Granger...This has me super excited!! What did yo7 pay all wrapped up for your 2022 if you don't mind me asking?

I ran 20x10 -18 with 325/60 RGs on a stock Sandblast with VERY minor rubbing at full lock and inclines. Other than that, perfect. Personally, unless you need 37s, Id run 325/60s. They're a 35.6" tire height and 13" wide which gives a great stance with minimal interference and when leveled on my previous TRX, zero rubbing.

I am running 18X9 0 offset with 37X12.50 and have zero rubbing without a leveling kit. I have the rogue kit sitting in the garage but I honestly like the current stance and since it doesn't rub, I'm considering not leveling it.

Change = Falken Wild Peaks. However, the truck will lay more power down as they are lighter than the Nitto’s. Also the overall diameter is a little less around the edges, so more room to travel.

Thanks for the info @dubwingate. I was going to order the 37 Tyrant package but I think I’ll stick with the Tyrant package plus leveling kit. I’ll just deal with wheels and tires when I get back to TX.

Looks good but hows it tow? Looks like u lost some travel there for sure!

I think 0 offset and Nitto 37x12.50's are the way to go, no rub, still aggressive looking stance. If you stay positive offset and go to 12.50 width tires (especially if they are not Nitto) you def lose the aggressive appearance vs the stock GY's that have a 13" tire width.

Falken actually claims a 13" width on their 37x12.50r20s but I'd agree on the offset. Personally I think 12.50 is perfect for 35s but I like 13.50 width on 37s or above. I always give my buddy crap because he always goes with 11.50 35s on his Rubicon and I hate the pizza cutter look.

It's a tough spot when you are trying to choose between performance and aesthetics. Going from 37x12.50 to 37x13.50 can add a noticeable amount of weight per corner. I'm moving from the stocks to 37x12.50 next week so I'll take a photo of the tires sitting next to each other. I think it's just the added height that makes the 37 looks "skinnier" when in reality the actual diameter between them is less than 1/2.

Reading all these threads about 37s make me so depressed. I already had to notch my garage opening to prevent the antenna from scraping all the time on stock tires. But damn do our trucks look good on 37s.

I wouldn’t have personally, but mine didn’t fit in my garage stock so lift and 37’s it is.
