Greetings everyone,

I apologize for the delay on following up on this. We wanted to make sure we had everything sorted out on the wheels before I provided an update. We've installed the 20x10 offset wheels with -18 offset. This is the wheel you saw on the Granite TRX here.

After installing this on multiple vehicles we found that there is a seem on the front of the trucks that this rubs on. There are enough production tolerances between trucks where this may be an issue on some trucks, but not on others. We had some In-stock trucks where this would cause some slight rubbing on the driver side of the truck and not the passenger side or vice-versa. There is an inner fender liner on the trucks and behing that liner is a body seam. Depending on the truck there would need to be some "massaging" of the seam with grinding/hammer/spray paint in order to make it work 100% perfect. The extent of which would vary depending on the tolerances of the truck as we received it.

We want to deliver a truck that is without issue to our final buyers, so we made the switch to a 20x9.5 with a +15 offset and have yet to run into an issue with the same 37" tires on the trucks. We found this issue is resolved with this wheel offset and no longer necessitates work on the inside of the body seam that the 20x10 wheels do. Pleas see pictures below.

Again, My apologies on the delay in getting this information out to you, we went down the road of trying different tire brands, trimming, etc. to make the 20x10 wheel work, but ulimately thought this would deliver the best most consistent product. With people from all over the country purchasing these trucks. We want to do our best to make sure they are as trouble free as possible.

So does the client have the option of going with the 20x10 rim?

No way Granger wants to be grinding people pinch welds and spray painting an otherwise brand new $100k truck lol. Based on how meticulous you guys keep your trucks, there'd be riots I'm sure.

Good news is you guys can still order the base Granger package for performance only and do your own 37 package if desired. That's what I'd go with b/c I'm in agreement, my wife's company Equinox has the same stance as above...

Probably need to get away from the 37 package, and offer the tyrant with a lift/factory tire option. That way, people can apply the wheels they want without paying extra for wheels they do not care to have. Then…tire supply issue is resolved too.

Thanks for the information and clearing things up. Would there be an option for putting new wheels on the stock tires and doing the Amp steps?

I like the new look better. Now it won’t blow the fenders off at full stuff.

What is the width of the tire on the granite/original version versus the red?

That looks terrible for a Tyrant why not go metric 35’s which is actually closer to a 36”? It should not have any issues and will much better like a bulldog.

Nittos have a slightly boxier tread with a little more obvious side lug pattern which tend to give the illusion of a wider tire IMO. That's just going by the looks of the Nittos on my PW vs the Falkens on my 392 in the exact same 35x12.50r17 size on each.

If I were to upgrade the wheels/tires when mine comes in, I'd go with the NItto RGs in either 37 or 38 x13.50r20 or 37x13.50r18 IMO.
