TRX Tyrant

I did not. Zach provided the dyno sheets in his original post regarding the Tyrant.
Shouldn't you receive a dyno sheet to verify hp gains? If not for resale value then for personal records. Also was there additional paperwork NTH Moto provided?

You think they are gonna dyno every truck? Not a chance in the world. I have the info posted previously of what mods were performed with the Tyrant upgrades.

Dynos are very easy, takes like 20 minutes with the majority of the time spent strapping the wheels. You do three WOT pulls and you have HP and TQ numbers. So simple to get done and not expensive. I would love to have a dyno sheet proving it out and knowing where in the RPM curve you are hitting peak HP numbers.

If I were you I would tell them you want the exact package you ordered and paid for. The fact that the change wasn’t disclosed is a huge no-no.
I agree with this. Absolute BS on the tires AND wheel change without telling you. It doesn’t look like what they advertised and it looks less aggressive.

They aren’t going to dyno the trucks. They outsourced the development of a respectable package that was tested and dyno’d and deemed safe enough for resale with an available warranty. Granger is simply following the steps to install the part of the package that were tested previously. They then turn around the install fairly quickly and new buyers can go on their merry way.

So a dyno sheet is available from the truck they tested on to confirm numbers and tune is in good shape? All I'm saying is if I am spending that much for a package I want to see the results I am paying for. What does the truck gain and where? Is it 100% crank HP ot 100% wheel HP, where in the RPM range do you see the increase?

Dyno before 500 mile break-in ?

In order to tune a PCM you need to open up the engine to ensure the tune is correct. Else once this break-in period you mentioned is over, what happens if the drivers goes WOT and the engine grenades?

A good tuner will verify his tune is working.

Everyone here would love to see dyno results on each truck. That would be ultra mega cool. It also isn't going to happen.

If you aren't going to buy a Tyrant without seeing dyno results then I suspect you just won't be buying a Tyrant. No way is Granger going to dyno each truck.

Agreed, that would be a helpful selling point for both Buyers as well as non-Buyers who are curious about what the engine can do.

If every truck has the same setup, Granger should just provide 1 dyno sample from their test truck. The variance from truck to truck will be a handful of horsepower dependent on temps, humidity, etc.

Would be nice for the buyers to receive a special packet outlining their special model including parts listed, dyno sample, maybe even tested performance numbers.

The Tyrant package is conservative on its stated horsepower if that dyno graph is the same package as what Granger worked on with Nth Moto.

I was at Granger yesterday picking up my truck, and they had a couple Tyrants on the lot... looks like a lot of fun :)

Just put Wildpeaks on my Ram 2500 diesel. Great ride, great for towing, very good traction in the dirt and grass areas.

What are your impressions of the Tyrant package, tires rub at lock, power? Read somewhere that when you recalibrate the speedo for large tires the it messes up the back up sensors is that true?
The sensors should be readjusted for the new height or yes your sensor and camera angle is way off. Stuff in camera is way closer than the camera view. Dealer adjusted mine when I did a lift and tires on my 1500. The lane sense works but not great but I dont use it anyways.

I put 35s on both my 392 and my Power Wagon and recalibrated the speedos (this is a must IMO as it also resets the transmission shift points to match the tire size) and there were no issues with the stock park (or lane/ACC in the PW) sensors or camera settings.
