TRX Tyrant

Not knocking your truck, but you didn’t get the wheel poke you should have. I’d be asking questions. Stock trucks have more aggressive look.
Zach@Granger ……let’s have some clarification here. I agree. I showed up and was delivered an a TRX Tyrant with the incorrect tires and wheels. Should I be suspicious about everything else?

I believe that the correct wheel size on the Granger trx 37 is 20x10 -18. Looks like you were given 20x9.5 +15.

I believe you may be correct! The super deep instead of the deep.

This is not a good way to launch this package. I purposely held off on the $1000 deposit for the tyrant package to see how it would play out. Based on this I’ll take stock delivery and have my truck modded locally where i can deal with any issues that come up. Warranty or not, this is still a hassle.

Sorry for the OP but very thankful you posted this so others could see. Hope you get your questions answered asap.

Yes. Unreal. Unacceptable. Not even the dealership's apologists can defend this. If a forum member did this to another forum member, they would get banned.

This has the makings of a PR nightmare for Granger, and not just for the Tyrant package, but others just wanting to buy stock. They need to get in front of this or buyers are going to look to the other dealerships on here.

They probably had rubbing issues and could not overcome them. Which meant that they could not warranty any body damage caused off roading. I don’t even believe they put “Deep” versions of the wheels on. Not gonna lie, I would have refused delivery. That release pick looks SICK. What they delivered looks Anemic. Has that Bad Ass truck with bicycle rims look to it.

In OP's fourth pic, there's a Granite TRX on stock black rims. They look Deep by comparison to what was placed on his truck.

I bet the issue is more of a lack of attention to detail. The ladies delivering these trucks can’t even tell you the difference between tires and wheels. Who is ordering the mods? If left to the online sales team it’ll be a crap show. I’m willing to allow them to make it right. We’ll see if and when Zach replies. I’ve also sent both him and Amanda emails this weekend. More to come…. Sit back and enjoy. I’m not happy that things aren’t as they should be but willing to let them make it right.

I would think they'd be all over making it right. Still a nice truck.

I wonder if the SD concavity was hitting the brake calipers, or suspension components? Sucks cause SDC looks so much better, and the 18x10 would stick out about 1.5" more.

My guess is they received the wrong wheels and stuffed it with the OP, hence wrong tires as well. I was all about this package considering the warranty, and I was looking at selling my 2022 to buy a 2022 or 23 one of these Tyrants...need to see how this plays out as this is some bad shit...I would be questioning everything that was done, and would want to see all invoices and receipts to ensure the proper work was done.

Agree. I have asked for all of that as well. I’ll keep everyone up to date.

I’d def get them to swap for RG’s and the negative offset wheel. Even if by some chance you had to sign a waiver acknowledging it rubs but I would think it should be fine with the lift. The combo they gave you is wayyyy too slim looking. Makes your TRX look like a regular Rebel :(

I have a signed document from them that they will pay for the Ridge Grapplers if I want to change them out closer to home. I thought that was reasonable.
I sent you an email. But wanted to post up on here too.

Looks like we're going to need to do a rotation of ridge grappler, wildpeak or k02s. We have 3 LARGE tire distribution centers local to us that had a huge stock of Ridge Grappleres and then they were out. So we have 3 to rotate through in order to speed up delivery times and not slow down the process.

Zach - can you comment on the offset for the wheels? It does appear that the offsets that OP received were different from the ones in the initial launch advertisement photos. Any update there?
