I have seen so many failures with these “premium” brands here lately that I really don’t see the point anymore. The Everstarts are cheap and Walmarts are everywhere if it fails and you need to exchange it. If you’re irrationally afraid of being stranded by it, you can even spend the money saved on a nice jump pack to carry on board.

Couldnt agree more. The idea of spending over 3-400 for a battery that may or may not take a dump 6 months down the road due to QC issues leads me back to the cheapos.

Dang that's mega cheap! And i dont have to return my stock one (which is still perfectly fine) to boot. May have to go this route!

So for those that have replaced their TRX battery, is there anything special RE replacement procedure? I'm seeing some people talk about issues with suspension calibration etc etc after replacing the battery and i'd like this to go as smoothly as it should!

Welp, I ordered it! Some say the CCA is different depending on location. Either way, they complain it's 850 and not 900. I think either will be fine but i'll report back when mine gets here today. I am pretty stoked about the small bump to 90-92aH though! Any special procedure ur aware of for replacing the OEM battery to avoid CELs/faults/suspension cal issues/etc?

so yeah the Wallyworld battery has better specs but is half as much. I’ll admit I don’t buy much of anything from Walmart. My big concern is that this battery follow the you get what you pay for tag line. Buy cheap and expect cheap products. Anyone have a great experience with the Walmart brand over an Odyssey or Optima YellowTop?

The procedure to replace is to have whoever replaces the battery hook up a small battery saver battery so you don’t loose all of you internal settings, GPS coordinates, etc, radio settings. It’s worth asking for. I know battery plus does it when they swap out batteries.

You actually don’t lose any information or settings when disconnecting power on trucks with Uconnect 5 radios. Some 2021s would lose the suspension calibration but anything 2022+ will be smooth sailing and my 2021 didn’t lose anything.

I have to argue that you actually don’t get what you pay for with the expensive brands these days. I have the Everstart made in Germany and it’s been working great. Same as they have in my other vehicles. What would an Optima (made in Mexico, BTW) improve on?

Maybe I’m getting old….but my Dad (yes, I invoked my old man here) always said son, don’t ever get cheap on brakes, tires, or batteries. I’m maybe just like him and it’s seems way too good to be true. Guess it’s time to head to Walmart and see if for myself.

Keep in mind that my stock 2023 batt only has 16K on it. I just know they seem to wear out at about 3 years every time.
