TRX Aftermarket Wheel and Tire pics! [size/offset]

What level or lift springs are you running?
I selected the Eibach 1.6” springs in front and The Foutz Motorsports 3/4” spacer in the rear!
I also installed the Fox Racing bump stops from Foutz Motorsports in the rear1

Since these trucks are just so heavy to begin with, if I added new tires and wheels I would like to add the lightest combo as possible. I would like to keep the current stock wheel size and also put 37's on new wheels. Does anyone know the lightest new wheel and 37" tire combo available for the TRX?

i was thinking the same thing...until i looked at tire weights. factory tire is like 63-64#, the 37s i was looking at were 77-80#

i liked the enkei wheel for some weight loss...27# vs 30# OEM, but the tire upgrade killed the idea for me lol. gonna be hard to come close to the OEM weights, and thats adding a LOT of unsprung poundage

Don't get 13.50 especially in a Falken brand if you're worried about weight...

Titan 7 and Volk will be your lightest.

Looks good. 18x9 0 offset is the perfect size wheel for the TRX. Flush to the wheel well with no poke. Too bad the selection of wheels that size and with that offset that will clear the TRX brakes is so limited.

Yes, it's a shame. These weren't exactly what I had in mind but I will rock them for now.

KMC 18x9 +0 with Falken 37x12.50 weighing in at 104lb. Ride is much better than my BFG 37's on 20" wheels, and it took less than HALF the weight to balance this combo.

I already posted this on another thread, but I figured post it on this sticky thread also to help give visual for someone look for rims. ICON Rebound 18x9 0 offset c/w ICON lug nuts and stock tires.

@Nitro , just a sugggestion but maybe you could make a sticky thread for the wheels and tires section where people can post pics of their trucks with various brands and sizes of wheels and tires that they have installed on their TRX. Request that people post the size, brand, and specifications of both the tires and wheels they are running. There is a similar thread on a square body forum I'm on, and it's a great reference for people to use when they want to get a visualization of how their truck might look with different wheels and tires.

Here is my contribution:

Tires: 37x13.50r20 Toyo Open Country MT
Wheels: Fuel "Rebel" 20x9 with +20mm offset
Suspension Modifications: None
Trimming required: None
So clean

Hey guys, I recently installed some BC Forged wheels with BFG KO2 tires. I tried to keep the weight down and as close to stock as possible. Only gained a few pounds per corner over stock. The factory Wrangler tires are light. I wasn’t able to find a lighter tire than the KO2 in a 35x12.5r22.

BC Forged LE10 - 33.6lbs each
22”x10”
-20 offset
Gloss wheel lip, matte center, gold hardware

BFG KO2 tires - 66lbs each
35x12.5r22
These boots look amazing, great choices for the wheels and tires. Are you running stock suspension or do you have any mods?

So, I’m probably going to get thrashed for asking this. This thread is 37 pages. I don’t want to read 37 pages. I want to go with 20” rims. I would like the tires to sit about flush with the fender flairs so I don’t kick up mud on exterior of truck when going through a puddle. Am I safe to say that means a 20” wheel with a 20 mm offset?
Am I saying that right? Does that mean a particular size tire? Like a 35” or 37”? Does a 20” wheel have a certain sidewall profile size or is that optional as well?
Too much to sort through. Anyone care to fast track me to what I want?

Rim size isn't your worry. It would be offset that sticks things out or in. Kinda counter intuitive. Negative offset sticks it out a lil, positive brings it in. It's kinda confusing to explain, plenty of YouTube videos. I just did 37"x13.5x20 on my rig. Rims at 0 offset. Slight rub completely stock. Will be throwing springs later to lift it a bit

Unfortunately it’s not a straight forward answer without some details. It depends on tire width and wheel width. With that there are not unlimited options for offset when it comes to wheels so there will always be some compromise to exactly what you want with looks.
