Crazy that an entire week has gone by and this beast of a truck has sat idly without anyone spending time with the poor gal. Sometimes I wonder if she should go to a better home that will actually RACE HER regularly the way I have intended to, but not gotten around to. I may even consider selling this year and going back to having a normal DD and a weekend fun convertible. Hate to say it, but I just feel bad having put so much into the truck knowing I don't drive it enough to make it worthwhile!!!
That being said, what could I get for it if I did decide to sell? Definitely in the top 1% of TRX's from a performance perspective. All work orders / parts documented and done by (1) reputable shop. I've had it since July 2021 and still only has 9000 miles and the 426 isn't even broken in yet.
I have it up to gauge interest. My wife wants me to sell much more than I do. If I don't get an offer that I consider acceptable, I won't sell it.Looks like you decided to sell.
Enjoyed following your build it helped me with mine.Good luck with the sale.
Full time E. It just seems like too much trouble to deal with once you've gone this far down the road.did you ever do a pump gas map with your combo or just full time e? curious on pump gas pulley sizes on the 3.0 whipple
I'm getting the SW headers and catback, plus the DT877 from Dusterhoff...and I'm done. I think that's more than enough for a DD; no interest in dealing with E85 conversions. Related note...do you like the DT937 kit?? How has your experience been with Dusterhoff? That’s what I’m averaging on E85 with the DT937 kit from dusterhoff
What e85 conversion? If you are already doing the 877 kit then the only difference is the flex tune. Parts are the same. Running the 937 kit plus a few extras with Curt’s flex tune. No issues. Little power bump on pump gas and big power bump on e85.I'm getting the SW headers and catback, plus the DT877 from Dusterhoff...and I'm done. Thanks. Question...do you know if Dusterhoff does a tune to pass emissions? What e85 conversion? If you are already doing the 877 kit then the only difference is the flex tune. Parts are the same. Yes as long as your state doesn’t do a sniffer test. Most states you will pass as long as you don’t have a CEL. Curt turns off the emissions stuff in the tune.Thanks. Question...do you know if Dusterhoff does a tune to pass emissions?
Thanks man!…appreciate it.Yes as long as your state doesn’t do a sniffer test. Most states you will pass as long as you don’t have a CEL. Curt turns off the emissions stuff in the tune.
Only transmission thermostat bypass. Nothing mechanical. No issues yet.@10mpg did you upgrade any driveline components ?
There are quite a few guys pushing my numbers on the stock motor going to the track every weekend who have not blown the transmission yet so that is good news.Ok thanks, Im going bigger and faster but still less then your setup so wondering what will break first
I’m redoing the transmission, and have supporting mods. Just worried about driveline and I guess other engine internals. Doing Cams Headers, TB, Ported Snout, Interchiller, pulley upper and lower pinned crank, injectors, triple pump fuel system so we shall see what happensThere are quite a few guys pushing my numbers on the stock motor going to the track every weekend who have not blown the transmission yet so that is good news.
Pistons will be next fail, likely wrist pins. Will need a new block after that. From what we have seen if you are at the power levels that require the triple pump fuel upgrade then the stock bottom end of the motor won’t last too much longer.I’m redoing the transmission, and have supporting mods.
