Possibly the coolest and easiest dash cam install ever

Not at all. I actually watched for something like this when installing mine and there has been no change whatsoever for me.
I'll mess with it tomorrow and see if I don't have a plug seated or something. I do have the 5thgendiy harness for my radar detector in there too

That I can't comment on, but I do have a plug pulling power for my radar detector there, too just not the 5thgendiy version.

Ordered 1/27 from China (they were out on Amazon), says in transit. Sitting in Whittier, California.

Thanks for the recommendation and the installation video @HorsePowerObsessed, I went ahead and ordered the camera along with the radar you have. I wasn't planning on spending anymore money on items for this truck but I couldn't resist. :ROFLMAO:
Hopefully China can send this to the states before my upcoming road trip at the end of the month.

Just installed the front & rear cameras. I have created several sample files but can’t complete a download of any to my iPhone 11. The download fails at 5% due to the network dropping while sitting in the driver seat. I tried both the FITCAMX and Viidure apps with cell service turned off. Anyone else with this issue?

You're very welcome! 😁

I don't have an answer to your question, but I have a question for you. Did you install the rear camera at the location of your rearview mirror, or did you route it to the rear window?
I'd like to route mine to the rear window, just wondering how people are running the wire (if anyone has done it yet).

I would close all your apps & soft reset ur iphone. If that doesnt work, id delete the Fitcam app, restart phone & then reinstall. If still no, get a newer phone lol

For the rear camera, I used the supplied 3m tape up high on the glass above the right-rear headrest. I ran the cable back to front and was able to tuck 95% behind trim and seals. My route was down to the floor behind the right-rear seat belt. I pulled up both door sills then up to the windshield top where it was easy to tuck behind the headliner. I had about 18” of extra cable that I stuffed behind the new mirror housing. Looking to see if someone else has better placement?

Network dropping issue resolved. Deleted app, restarted iPhone and reinstalled app. Turned off Bluetooth. File downloads are now fast and complete. Glad I didn’t need a new phone because everyone in the house would want one.

happy to help!

Installed mine about two weeks ago and now the rear view mirror camera has stopped working. Anyone else have this issue?

update…took the dash cam out and mirror now works just fine. Unfortunately, back it goes to Amazon.

Hate to be a Debby downer here but it appears for me its 5 minuet install for something that takes days of BS to get linked to the phone.
To get it to wi-fi connect I have to turn off the cell data and blue tooth on the phone then it doesn't want to stay connected. It drops immediately if ether is turned back on after connection.
So are we suppose to have no car play or useable phone to use this thing?
I can see a better app being helpful to use it but if it doesn't stay connected what's the sense?
The directions as to how to use the app suck big time.
Anyone have any insight?

It does record all the time with the ignition in the on position.....I switched the sd card to 128gb and put the camera on a 10 minute loop. I have an android phone and the fitcam app works fine so far.
Just installed today. I am only seeing 1 and 3 minute loop options. Where are you seeing the 10 minute loop? I tried both the fitcam and viidure apps.

Having same issues after install.

Having same issues after install.
Basically you have to shut off the Bluetooth and cell connection and you can access it. I guess if someone plows into you the data can be retrieved. There are no instructions on how to view and download data and I found a pile of clips. It looks like the data is saved in 1-3 minuet long clips that you dig threw to get what you want. Then there are no instructions on what the crash settings mean. Strong soft???? It's Chinese logic on the instructions. I't like a cheep drone I bought. It assumes you know everything before buying it. So F'n Chinese. Bottom line the camera works and it fits great

Easiest way is to use the included USB reader if you want to move multiple files from the dash cam to your computer. The app works for me without having to shut off bluetooth or manually disconnect it from Carplay but YMMV I guess.

How did you set it to 10 minute loops?
