No you don't. In fact, I don't see how you could you install the dash cam first and then the mirror back afterwards.

Dual cam installed! FitcamX app works great but only allows 1&3minute loops. Is there anyway to increase to more than 3 minutes? Also, anyway to play back both front & rear cams in like PIP/ in the same picture or are they always separate video files?

Can you provide a sample image of what the rear-facing camera sees from that position?

I received mine last night (with rear camera), and am debating how/where to install the rear one. Ideally, it would have a decent view of traffic behind the truck.
