Possibly the coolest and easiest dash cam install ever

Dash cams are pretty much a necessity nowadays and with how easy this one installs, the quality of it, and even the price, you should definitely check it out. It's made by a company called FitCamX and while I was searching for a good option for the TRX I came across this one and thought I'd give it a try. I was surprised to find that it has the internals of much more expensive dash cams with the quality to go with it. The install is insanely easy and it looks OEM. Agreed. I was so impressed when I saw it I thought for sure it was going to be junk but it's literally on par with a NextBase 622 dash cam and looks WAY better installed. The rear facing cam could use some work but I don't know how they could even improve on it since there's nothing back there to really mold the camera into.

Yeah would be nice to have something that is powered by the red lights between the bumper and tailgate. I'm sure you could fit a little camera into that area for visibility as well.

I just dont understand why these car companies can't figure out how to build an app for the cameras that are already included on their vehicles. Sell a subscription service to record over the built in LTE and bam.

Probably but that also increases installation difficulty to the point that most wouldn't be interested. At the end of the day, this company as with any company, wants this to be easy for the end user and as far as the front facing camera is concerned, it really doesn't get any easier than this.

You're very welcome. 2 of the things I do first with almost any vehicle I buy are: mount a radar detector, and mount a dash cam. In this case, I wanted something a little better than usual and went looking for it. Never thought I'd find such a cool option, though!

I have the exact same radar detector setup that you have. I've always loved the blend mount.

This is exactly why I went hunting for another dash cam. The NextBase 622w I had sat right in front of the radar detector and would hinder it's ability to catch anything. This dash cam made the 2 work perfectly together.

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now and haven't had any issues at all. Everything still works as it should. The camera is pointed down away from any of the built in electronics and I have the level 2 truck with all the options checked. No issues.
