No they give examples of windshield or rear window on the website. They provide a piece of 3M on the bracket but i didnt use thatIs that where the reverse cam is supposed to mount?
Mine did the same thing.Just so folks know, looks like once it enters the US it transfers to DHL global mail which makes it slower than it should be. Mine got in to the US on the 31st of Jan, and just today finally got handed over to the USPS for delivery. So anyday now. Got here quick from China tho
You're quite welcome! Now that it's back in stock on Amazon and I could use my Christmas gift cards, I placed my order. Thanks @HorsePowerObsessed for bringing this to our attention and for the video.
Maybe they packed a balloon in the box also. You should get it anyway now.I ordered 1/20 and still waiting lol. Maybe California customs found some spy stuff![]()
There are 2 ways the rear camera can go into its little housing. Simply depress the little tab, pull the cam out of the push-pop housing, rotate the camera about 180 degrees (until it gets to the 2nd indent), and push it back into the housing until it clicks. That's what I had to do to get it to orient correctly for the way i mounted itInstalled mine today, I am trying to figure out where to install the rear cam, it is just sitting loose between the rear seat and rear window for now.
I noticed that the 360 degree rotating camera has up and down arrow on it, so if you rotate the camera 180 degrees it show the video up side down.
I wish the APP had the ability to rotate the image a 180 degree to give more flexibility for mounting the camera.
Just wondering where other mbrs here on the forum mounted their rear camera in the back of the truck.
Thks, I was wondering if I was able to do that. I just didn't want to break the the rear camera. This will work prefectly....There are 2 ways the rear camera can go into its little housing. So after reviewing the camera cylinder and mount. You are telling me you that you rotated the lens of the in the cylinder housing? There are 2 ways the rear camera can go into its little housing. Anytime, buddy!Just installed mine. Took 5 minutes. Worked right away. Literally the easiest thing I’ve done to a car in a while. Frankly looks better than the factory housing.
Thanks for spending my money @HorsePowerObsessed
Not at all. I actually watched for something like this when installing mine and there has been no change whatsoever for me.Anyone notice diminished quality from the rear view mirror after install? Driving home tonight from the gym and I could see cars headlights in the mirror as well as the camera image. Seemed like it wasn't as bright as usual. But definitely could see everything as if it was just a mirror..
