Possibly the coolest and easiest dash cam install ever

So since this dash cam doesn't have a motion sensor the real benefit of having one is for potential accidents so it could record the footage for you?
And I guess to record any special adventures you have in your TRX.
If the TRX was stolen can you see the footage of them driving? Maybe even real time? or does it not work like that - Sorry new to the "dash cam" world and just trying to figure out the benefits of having one.

No - it has no real-time monitoring capability (unless you're within WiFi range of the camera... 100 feet or so), nor can it auto-upload its recordings to a cloud provider. The benefits are in showing fault, or lack thereof, in an accident, or attempted insurance fraud (someone intentionally cuts in front of you, brakes to cause a collision, then claims you rear-ended them, and they have neck pain). It can be used to refute certain accusations of moving violations (speeding, blowing through red lights, stop signs, etc.) - of course, it could also be used to incriminate you for such actions, as well. Fortunately, micro SD cards are easily disposed of

Just to set the record straight, for anyone reading this in the future. Models A and B are not trim-dependent. It’s about whether the truck has the large mirror housing. I believe all Limiteds have it, as well as many Laramies and Rebels.

More specifically, all rams equipped with forward collision warning will have the “model B” housing. All rams not equipped with forward collision warning will have the “model A” housing.

You're very welcome. I honestly had no idea something like this even existed until I found the fitcam website. I hope they continue to expand their catalog cause I'd love to get these for my other vehicles as well.
