So my truck updated over the weekend. I hate these fkn updates but what I usually do is wait a day or two then do two resets. So no different this time. I Waited till today then did a reset using the left radio button. Did it twice. Everything updated and is for the most part pretty much back to normal. Performance page controls that disappeared returned, my selected theme is back and issues others mentioned in this post have corrected. Not sure if it was the 48 hour wait or the two resets. Either way I wanted to share.

Most understand the reset we just want it to stop happening. This pushing of unfinished software could kill someone. This one looks like it was an inconvenience one but if things keep up as they have with not fully flushed out updates could land on the safety side next time. I believe the overall consensus is please don't push updates on us until they are fully tested and complete. I don't need my vehicle going the way of video games yeah we messed things up might fix in a year. @RamCares please take note and tell them to actually test this stuff. We should never see an rho 6 cylinder trashmaster in our infotainment, someone dropped the ball big time!

Now they need to figure out how to get rid of the 6 cylinder RHO on our screens. I didn't buy a Realy Hideous Object

Just sharing my process. Sure…you can keep hoping and praying to the RamCares gods…but we all know how that goes. Will they fix it? Who knows. I agree it’s shty. In the meantime I’ll just reset and move on. Keep up the good fight.

Nothing ever gets done if we see wrong and sit on our hands! Just adding ramdontgiveafuck in for the fun. Get your position but complacency is killing America. The hope is people will take what they read here to their dealer in person. That is how we get things done. Imagine if all the TRX trucks a dealer sold showed up and said hey fuck nuts NO. We would start getting things done. People just won't get involved in solutions anymore. Keep the bench warm!

My truck just did the update (I’m a 2022 level 2)

It changed the performance pages screen.

It sucks.

Anyway to get the old screen back?

Custom mode setup screen shows trans is on Street, custom main screen shows trans is on sport. You can change it to tow or street but it always defaults back to the street even though the transmission actually does change on the main screen

@RamCares The issue is this is not designed for our Uconnect 5 on our 24 and earlier head units. Fonts (smaller) arent centered nicely anymore, not to mention having RHO (Turbo charger) graphics on a TRX (SC).

Also on the performance pages the horsepower tops out at 520, it used to be 1000. What kind of crap is this? I didn't buy a hurricane, I bought a Hellcat

I have a final addition, I don't want an R H O anything in my final addition TRX. At least allow dealers to roll us back to the way it was.

I suppose I should be happy that there isn't a ticker tape Dodge Ram 1500 scrolling across my screen...

Fix it quickly.

Can they change my rho pic into a single cab base 6 cylinder 1500 long bed ? Yah know for when I’m pulled over and I can show the officer . See this isn’t a trx sir.

Doesn’t work like that with Uconnect 5. OTA or dealer only. At least until someone leaks a newer software version than this onto the internet. Can’t go backwards, so even though there are older UC5 software files out there that work much better than this, there’s no way to install them.

Why can't you go backwards if you load it from a usb?

The performance pages are a subscription through ram connect. It's a free trial for 5 years. You didn't have to sign up for it, it's active with the truck. But it will expire.
