BrawlerFab TRX build

I bought the Rogue kit and plan on installing the lowers only and the rears when they come out with the rear spacers.

Did the Rogue kit stiffen your ride or change the ride quality?
I’ll chime in on this since I’ve done the lower Rogue kit as well. Short answer is yes, it changes the ride some. The front is a little more "bouncy" on slower speed bumps (like 5-10mph on rough streets or offroad). Doesn't seem to be change the highway ride at all. What I found to be an improvement was the cornering stability at speed. It feels much moer stable in higher speed turns and sweepers. Almost like having a stiffer sway bar.

I see you said you took it off now but any pics of the hood decal you installed?

I don't think I have any pics of the hood decal but I will look. It was just a gunmetal grey "TRX" like the bedsides and not the matte black with the TRX cutout like the factory one. I actually liked the hood decal and almost left it on but when I removed the bedside decals, I felt it needed to go as well.

I hear ya. Yea I’m generally not a fan of decals but i do like the hood one but figured i could add it later and have it made the way i want to accent my hydro blue.

I am going to cut a matte black hood decal with TRX cutout like the factory one and put it on at some point. I feel like the hood needs something.

I have done a lot with my TRX lately and have been horrible about updating this post....

This weekend I finally got around to installing the Ripatuned R-TRX 800 kit. I had been running the Incognito for a few months and although that alone added to the fun factor driving this truck, I wanted more.

I started out by laying all the parts out on a table to insure I didn't miss anything.
  • First step was to disconnect the battery and remove the PCM.
  • Then I removed the air box, the belts, throttle body and started working on removing the supercharger snout. To do this, the supercharger lid has to be removed and then the supercharger itself needs to be lifted about an inch to access the lower bolts that hold the snout on.
  • Once that was done, I removed the snout and took it to the bench to start removing and replacing the upper pulley.
  • After the upper pulley is installed, I reassembled the supercharger and reinstalled it.
  • Next step was to replace the fuel injectors
  • Install the Ripatuned adjustable idler pulley
  • Replace thermostat
  • Remove crank bolt and using the crank pin tool, drill the crank and install the pin
  • Replace crank bolt (with new supplied bolt)
  • Reinstall belts
  • Install new PCM and reconnect battery
  • Fire up for the first time and immediately shut off. Check for leaks
  • Flash PCM with the base tune from Ripatuned
  • Road test and log data to send to Ripatuned to be analyzed and adjustments made as needed
  • All done, time to enjoy!
All in, it took me about 5 hrs to install and another hour spent messing with the tune. The power from this kit is insane! I thought the truck was a beast before I started and quickly realized that it wasn't until now. The trans tune provided by Ripatuned is amazing. Shifts are so better timed without hanging gears. One thing I was concerned about is RAM has come up with a trans flash that is supposed to cure the clunk a lot of us experience when coming to a stop or take off. I had not done this yet and knew that once I did the tune, I wouldn't be able to. Well guess what? The Ripatune trans tune eliminated the clunk!

If any of you are on the fence about this kit, it is well worth it in my opinion. Power is crazy and is there on command. The trans feels so much better. Before I forget....no more 118 speed limiter. Only thing I need now is for the weather to get better so I can take this thing to the track and see what it will do on a brand new set of Nitto Drag Radials!

I should have started this from day 1 to properly document my build but I guess it’s better late than never. Here’s how it currently sits on 37” Nitto Recon Grapplers and a Rogue Offroad level kit with a lot more to come. 😎

I know it’s a little late but that is exactly the set up that I am going to do once my truck arrives. I mounted the four brackets for the 6 inch lights and then welded them to the bar and then powder coating the whole thing all over again, no silver galvanize showing only the black powder coat. It’s going to not only look good but I’m going to make it steel proof, by welding those brackets to the brawler mount and then Loc Tight Red nuts , now steel these mother fuckers!

What did that kit run with everything? I’m in California so I can’t get it but just curious
The complete kit sells for $4899.99 and includes the pulleys, crank pin kit, injectors, PCM unlock service, HP Tuners MPVI2, access cable, remote tuning including the transmission, thermostat, belts and more.

I’m kind of hoping Ram does something like this for the TRX through Direct Connect. I have an extended warranty that’s basically 7yr/70k bumper to bumper, and I’d like to keep that in tact. I look forward to seeing this thing make a pull on drag radials!

16 lbs of boost is simply amazing.
I thought stock internals could only handle 15 safely. Someone on here blew their ish up and I thought that was the reason or one of the reasons. So I'm assuming since your doing it on pump gas 16 lbs is okay. Good to know.

16# of boost with proper fueling (and tune) is fine with stock internals.

Any desire of getting the blower ported? Or porting it yourself?
