Did you have to hit “update now” on the screen or did it just do it on its own?
If we bought the truck with modes that they then deactivate are they not responsible to repurchase the vehicle at the price we paid if we no longer want it because of the after sale modificationView attachment 145091
Truck has never pushed for update on its own..never have I connected it to any network and this dumb update went through on its own, now i can’t even change my drive modes! Do better ram! My battery car doesn’t even push updates on its own like this!!@RamCares
Doesn’t work like that with Uconnect 5. OTA or dealer only. At least until someone leaks a newer software version than this onto the internet. Can’t go backwards, so even though there are older UC5 software files out there that work much better than this, there’s no way to install them.
Need to delete the whole telematics box. But it’s not a bad job. Not only does it stop them from ruining your Uconnect, but also from selling your data. @AmosMoses did it on his. (More people should do this mod so I can stop tagging you)

I get it usually fixes itself and I personally have not had this pop up in my truck yet. Just want to make sure Ram stays on things. Not to mention that language, don't sit with me (subscription pages) NO performance pages! I didn't sign up for subscription anything. it's there all the time or they bait and switched. I did not buy a beamer with the subscription heated seats. I bought an American Ram TRX and what I bought it equipped with is final unless I want it removed/changed. Are we forgetting these are our toys not something we are renting with use agreements. Again I understand it may fix itself in time but why was it ever pushed if it was not correct. Doing things like that could brick our trucks. I can't say for you but I expect more care taken than that especially if you are opting end user choice out.
The performance pages are a subscription through ram connect. It's a free trial for 5 years. You didn't have to sign up for it, it's active with the truck. But it will expire.
Interesting that was never discussed when I made my purchase. So in my case information was omitted to make the sale. Think alot would have never touched one if they were told all the stuff you bought it for would go away after 5 years. I don't support shit business tactics like that don't believe most Americans do either. Time for them to pay up then, this bullshit of you don't actually own things apple brought upon everyone has to stop. You got me seriously thinking of forcing a buy back. Very important information was withheld in my case. This is bullshit no one should stand for nothing should expire out of your software that's just fucking greed!
