Mopar Extended Warranty

Pic attached. I’d be $200 above dealer cost so $1775. Used a vin number to one in transit. Same 8/100k w/200 deductible.
I just purchased a 21 TRX and would be interested in the cost on a 6 yr & 7 yr 75k option at $100 deductible.

Prices have gone up a shitload since he posted that. You can get quotes online here:

Ziegler sells for $100 above cost with promo code: PAYINFULL

It’s the cheapest you’re going to get.

Thank you. Didn't realize they were so high. An equal plan for a 21 Raptor is about $900.

Ok…. So Is a factory extended warranty better or a Ziegler extended warranty better in the terms of actual real coverage and hassle of use?

my fear is getting towed into a dealer and they say they don’t accept that extended warranty… and then neither do any other local dealer.
At least with a factory warranty I know the dealer will honor it.

now the Ziegler makes it appear as if it’s manufacturer backed so all ram dealers must honor it….

so then at the end of the day…
1) which is the better warranty coverage and acceptance wise

2) if both are equal above the. Which has the better price point?

(my 2015 Yukon has 33k miles on it. Might be less. My 18 colorado zr2 has 7k miles on it… I can’t imagine I’ll be hitting 125k in 8 yrs but that’s probably what I’d lean too unless there is a longer coverage since I don’t think my wife’s going to let me be stupid again)

Zeigler IS the factory warranty. Zeigler is just another CJDR dealer that decided to sell Mopar service contracts online in a low-profit/high-volume model.

When you purchase from them, you're entered into FCA/Stellantis's system as being covered by the Mopar Vehicle Protection plan. You get original factory paperwork, and any dealer honors it as if you bought it from any other CJDR dealer (because you did).

i feel like i should tag bambi in this thread, but i'm sure he's aware enough of it.... still hard to resist the urge at the moment

Copy that. That explains it so much clearer. With the really weird production schedule...I need to have my options figured out now instead of being able to wait until january....

@Bambi can care less about extended warranties. His TRX will either have spontaneously burst into flames or he’ll have already been hired on as a torture test driver for the next generation of Ram trucks by the time he’s anywhere near the end of his factory warranty.

I’d get one if there was one that I thought would cover my antics.

Do you have to purchase it at the time your car is new before you put any miles on it? Or can you buy it right before the 36-month 60,000 MI factory warranty is up?

You can buy it up to the 36,000 or 3 year mark. The longer you wait the more it costs

I purchased a non Chrysler warranty on the advice of a dealer, against my better judgment. The first time I tried to use it, they would only pay for a third of the bill. Never doing that again

I just purchased an extended warranty 5/100 and I was at 8500 miles when I did it. I purchased a Platinum warranty from the dealer with a $100 ded for $2100. I know now that I threw that money away since I am starting to make mods to the engine and will be other areas as time goes on. So all of that to say that you can purchase an extended warranty, but it is a waist of money if you have the slightest thought of making any mods in the future. The fine print states that any mods or damage that may occur from mods or misuse will not be covered. They will use that to avoid any cost on their behalf I am sure of it. They are in it to make money, not to make friends. That's all I have to say bout that!!!

I'd hate to resurrect an old thread but do we still have members offering the extended warranty program?
I know a mass amount of you are US Based however Im curious, would a US Dealership be able to apply a similar warranty to a Canadian VIN?

Figure it cant hurt to ask I suppose as I know a few dealerships local to me charge an arm and a egg for warranty.

Head over to Zeigler and see if they can cover you. These guys offer Mopar factory warranties at $100 USD over dealer cost if you use the code PAYINFULL. I bought mine from Zeigler earlier this year, it was a very painless process for me but I’m in the USA, not sure if they do Canada or not.

so basically anyone whos used the dealership for extended warranties has been getting screwed all these years because my last extended on a 21 3500 cummins was 1800 for 72 months and 60k miles
