Mopar Extended Warranty

No problemo at all buddy!!

The new car max care warranty DOES start with the original in-service date and mileage of the vehicle, where as the preowned maxcare warranty starts with date and miles of purchase. Short of your 3 key fob replacement, and a little extra trip interruption benefits, the new care maxcare will NOT show coverage (Meaning you won't use it) until your 3yr/36k basic warranty is expired.

With that said, there is HUGE benefits to buying the New car MAX care.

Time: new car allows up to 8 years and preowned only allows up to 5 years, hence making the max coverage the same

Price: new car coverage for 8yr/100k/$100 is $2045 vs preowned 5yr/100k/$100 is $3965

Money-back: In the event that you sell or trade in your truck, MVP offers a pro-rated money-back guarantee on your new car maxcare.

IMO: buying under 12k is the BEST decision for most people. Look at it as life or medical insurance. Is it cheaper to buy those plans in your teens or in your 50-60s? It's really the same concept, big picture.

Hope this helps
Hi OkieTRX80,

What is your price for the 8yr/125k/$200 extended Max Care warranty for the TRX? You can also PM me.

How do get ahold of you? Just bought my TRX from a private party. Would like to add the extended warranty.

I pulled pricing from Chrysler’s system. That’s $5-600 above depending on warranty quoted. I can do better. I also work for a mopar store.
There is pack built into his cost that he never sees. Goes straight to dealer. Not his fault.

Realistically if you are buying an exclusionary service contract it doesn't matter if it's Mopar or dealer branded. All of these service contracts are underwritten by 1 of 4 companies. The coverages are pretty much identical. Maybe a difference in rental coverage.

Usually the big difference is in products like maintenance. Ford has an amazing maintenance plan, bmw used to have a crazy one too, covered brakes and everything in the service guide. I can't remember how Mopar is set up.

Due to the outrageous recent gouge I may have to consider private insurance. Always went MOPAR but I'm going to shop around and research customer reviews on claims coverage.

Best I found was $4,600 7/100,000 mopar warranty. I have never paid that much for warranty including my C8?

Look into opening an account at PenFed credit union, you can then refi your TRX and add their RT 66 aftermarket warranty, and even finance it into the new loan. They have a 6 year, 100k mile warranty that costs $995.

Call and inquire about this. You have nothing to lose by making the call. Yes, it covers everything the Mopar warranty would cover.

It sounds good but read what is not covered and then it doesn't sound as good.

ITEMS NOT COVERED: Any normal maintenance item including tires, wheels, struts, shocks, brake shoes or pads, rotors or drums, belts, hoses, filters, fluids, lubricants, clutch, pressure plate or clutch release bearing and tune-up items. Exhaust or emission parts, sound reproduction components, collision avoidance, lane departure warning system and safety restraint systems, lighting, wiring harness, telephone, clock, television and navigation equipment. Any body parts, interior parts, trim, glass, paint, air bag system and keyless entry/anti-theft.

These are the main items that cost the most. I've used GEICO Mechanical Breakdown and the only downside is it costs $250 per incident. But given the fact you only pay a few dollars a month more on your insurance premium it makes more sense. It has a 6 year 100,000 coverage.

Have you filed a claim with GEICO for that and how easy was it?

Had it on my Ram dually and there was not problem. Contact them and they pay. Had my work done at a ram dealer. Have it on my wifes Subaru but haven't had to use it. I've had GEICO insurance for over 30 years.

LOL I figured it was too good to be true....

So who is everyone using to purchase mopar extended warranty now? =c]

This right here is what I'm doing(if/when I get my truck this week). I am not a high mileage driver any more, so I'm going with the 8yr 85K mile plan with a $200 deductible, for $3220. I gave my dealer a shot at beating that price, and they wanted $4220!

Wait...so when does the 8 years and the 85k start?

TRX comes with ----> 3 yr/36,000 mi basic, 5 yr/100,000 mi powertrain

What will your $3220 add? Or...well what will your warranty look like AFTER spending the $3220?

Trx doesn’t come with a 100k mile powertrain it’s 65k miles. The extended warranty is overlapping your factory warranty plus the difference in months / mileage based on what you buy.

Pic attached. I’d be $200 above dealer cost so $1775. Used a vin number to one in transit. Same 8/100k w/200 deductible.
Could you do this on a 2021Grand Cherokee L as well? I’m waiting on my TRX to be built but we just purchased my wife a car and I would like to get her a 8 year/unlimited.
