Running boards

I know the parts guys so I paid 1350 for boards and 300 to install

Go Rhino RB20’s, they stick out far enough to prevent most door dings and they protect the sides from some debris. Mud flaps on the front are still needed
Only negative is there still kind of high. The AMP steps give better/easier access

These are what I am planning on getting for my 22.....whenever that gets here.

I put the Go Rhino running boards on mine too. Very nice and easy to install

Way late to this party, but I was thinking about my kids not being able to get in the truck without assistance. Since I didn't think about it prior to my order, I didn't get them put on. I have seen a little bit of talk between the auto model and the go rhino's. Which would be better for small kids to get in?

I have the Rhinos, there a little tall for small kids to use
I’d get the AMP’s

Got the RB20’s installed today as well and like them much better than the RAM off-road running boards I had on my other TRX. As some have noted, they are a bit high so if you have little ones the power steps may be a better option.

Anyone going with the power steps should expect rock dings on the back quarter panels. I have power steps with Weathertech mud flaps on my Raptor. The lower back quarter panels have quite a few rock chips and the truck has rarely been off pavement. These trucks look better with power steps but those tires throw alot of rocks. I opted for the off-road OEM rails for my TRX.

You know I was wondering about that. EVERY TIME I took mine offroad the factory steps were caked with mud, which would have been all over the sides and rear quarter panel. I'll be taking my new one out in the desert and mtns a lot and will be keeping my fixed sidesteps (long mud flaps).

The Go Rhino boards higher than the Mopar off-road boards? How they compare width wise?

RB20s are really nice! We have a ton of them in-stock for anyone looking. We also have a good bit of AMP Steps instock right now (76 series only). https://justboltons.com/search-results-page?q=RB20

I don’t have any measurements to go off but the height is pretty similar between the two. The RAM boards are a bit wider and doesn’t have the taper at the ends. I wear a size 15 shoe and no issue with width on either. You can also see, the Rhinos have a richer black than the RAM…..I made this side by side photo as a comparison for you.

I really like the Rhino but the taper is so aggressive in the front it will compromise rock chip protection which is one of the biggest reason many of us run this type of step over a power step.

I have Rhinos and 2 kids, 4 and 7.....the 4 year old has no issues and she's short for her age.....

The Rhinos are wider in the front and taper towards the rear
I installed the rock bloks flaps in the front with the Rhinos,,,absolutely no chips going on

Kinda torn on steps. I have the mopar power boards on my Rebel and love em. With the trx being 8 inches wider, I think I have to go with stationary boards to protect from door dings
I went with the power boards and just leave them deployed when I have to park next to someone. If you have them on your rebel pull them off and use them on the TRX!

Yup, that what I'm leaning towards. Now I just need my truck to show up. Still sitting in D..

I have black rock rails on white 21 trx. look great but aren't very functional when looking to, say, strap a thrashing, yelling 3yo into his car seat. That said, starting at 2.5, he could climb up into the seat using the rock rails. Planning on having steps installed when convenient but not sure when that will be

I think this'll be my plan... AMPs?
