"Insanely Fast Raptor R" ?

I have a feeling it's going to be a huge day for TRX orders. I bet there was a lot of people on the fence waiting for this announcement.
Are the books closed? I thought I saw people stopped being able to place orders towards the end of last week?

I read somewhere Ford is having a hard time producing 5.2l predator engines for already existing GT500 orders due to component shortages. Makes me wonder if the alloted production will be heavily reduced over time

Not sure why all the surprise with this pathetic launch, ford is a global car company. They don’t give a single F about American enthusiasts. I have no loyalty to any brand but there are a few fords I love (currently own a 2008 mustang GT, it’s my fuel economy car lmao) I thought the GT500 was massively disappointing, far more interested in the 350, would also love a new Mach 1. Ford was always going to just check the box, Ram / Dodge is the only American muscle brand left appeasing the enthusiast market. Just my .02

Ram is certainly loving the announcement today.

Just been perusing the Raptor Forum. The consensus there appears to be 98% WTF on the price and HP specs.

As far as pricing goes, you can go out today and pay a ridiculous ADM on an ignition edition trx sitting on a dealers lot, and still be at the starting price of the R.

True, Ford as an overall global brand could care less about the Raptor. The buyers segment is too small and its too specialized. Ford Performance is in charge of the Raptor, but they missed the mark on the R.....BIG TIME !
Its those smaller divisions inside each brand (like SRT is to Dodge), who embody the passion for specialized vehicles. Rumor = E85 900HP Challenger.

Saw that on the Challenger too, rumored to be 909 (Hellcat 707, Demon 808) 🤯 that would be insane for a factory vehicle.

That would be just like Dodge, not going out with a bang.......but with a 50 megaton nuclear detonation !

That's what I really like about Ram and Dodge. They are not just giving in to the EV pressure but giving the customer what they really want as long as possible. Ford has embraced EV and lead the way in forcing the agenda on everyone.

Every single person that worked on the Raptor R should immediately resign. How you have 2 years to beat the TRX in every category and detune a 760hp engine UNDER the TRX's 702? And make 37's standard slowing the Raptor down?

Just like with the Bronco Raptor not being able to beat the 392 Wrangler. Ford has lost their balls, competitive spirit, and their minds over pricing every version of the Raptor

If anyone was curious about weight savings for the TRX.....BWHAHAHA. I was curious how much the spare tire/carrier was....but for sure, I am not removing any seats...haha.

37s and 2hp less is certainly offset by the weight savings though. At the end of the day the only question is will it outperform a TRX in a way that feels worth the 10-15k price premium? I doubt it. Assuming you can get one anywhere near MSRP. And at that point, what does it do compared to a TRX with 10k invested into it..

Honestly the only thing it has I wish the TRX did is 2wd mode lol.

Ford hates their existing customers. They'll just fleece the dumb ones out of cash until they can figure out how to get Tesla's customer base to buy blue oval.
