"Insanely Fast Raptor R" ?

Every single person that worked on the Raptor R should immediately resign. How you have 2 years to beat the TRX in every category and detune a 760hp engine UNDER the TRX's 702? And make 37's standard slowing the Raptor down?

Just like with the Bronco Raptor not being able to beat the 392 Wrangler. Ford has lost their balls, competitive spirit, and their minds over pricing every version of the Raptor
I was thinking about this. From a marketing standpoint it was a dumb move... on forums everywhere Ford enthusiasts were joking "RIP TRX" with talks of an 800Hp truck. For two long years Ford got nothing but shit from RAM. The V6 was ridicularized. Did anyone see the Hagerty video where the 80s Syclone comes back to race and beat the G3 Raptor? That was humiliating. Raptor fans deserved at least 703Hp.

I think Ford is saving for the end with impressive numbers 0-60. If not what a joke

Reading on Raptors forum, seems like Canada's dealers are already set at $50k ADM for all R orders.... let the games begin...lol
Most others out there are not finding value for $109k let alone markups of $50k.

If the 0-60 is meh and MPG is shitty, give Ford the trophy for a great job at making it suck
hahah! MPG is gonna be shitty. No way around it considering the gt500 gets 12/18. The 0-60 will be sub 5 seconds I'd imagine as well.

I think ford missed the mark most on price point. The Raptor R is going to be an amazing truck, just like the TRX, but it prices itself out for people considering both.

Good looking truck for sure, but it ends there..Had a brand new 2000 Excursion...biggest pile of shit I ever owned...Never again...

Local dealer here in Colorado already told me the have people lined up with an empty check to pay 50K ADM. The R is 111k after delivery, 161k after dealer markup 😵‍💫.

It's a sick truck, don't get me wrong, but I can put a fraction of that money in my TRX and make over 1000hp on 37's lol.

I'm sure the R will sell, just like when the TRX was announced and sold out within hours.

I was speaking of the "hopefuls" that somehow thought the R would cost close to what G3s were going for :ROFLMAO:

The 18th was good for a few things:

1- G3 appreciation day at the Ford Raptor Forum. $109k+ADMs show many there have found new love for their V6s

2-Big old Ford took a jab to the nose, promised revenge and so far is underdelivering. The number 700 at 6am made TRX owners laugh after so much talk and anticipation. RAM stole thousands of Raptor owners and it doesn't seem like most of them will be going back.

3-Proved once again the TRX=BAD ASS.
RAM surprised Ford with a true monster and there is a reason these things are kept at 700Hp. Ford knows it will not win the power war so it dialed back with its lead engineer's excuse that the 700 is because the company "likes round numbers".

4-(Most important)- We might not get the Red Eye as the enemy is already waving the white flag

:( :( I was really hoping Ford was going to show some better numbers. I would have loved to seen a big FU response from Stellantis with a Red Eye to force a "Game Over" moment.
I am most certain the Raptor R will be better off-road with the weight advantage and 37's. The eco gen 3 is no slouch and is probably better than the TRX off-road currently. I only got to drive one on the pavement and it was extremely underwhelming.
I feel Ford let us down again. I need to go hug a puppy...LOL

Ford hates their existing customers. They'll just fleece the dumb ones out of cash until they can figure out how to get Tesla's customer base to buy blue oval.
If they get ALL Tesla customers then they would have 2-3% of the new car market........in other words, they would have zip! Its hilarious to watch these car Mfgs. scramble after a 3-4% market segment.

I'm no engineer but I'm not sure the R will beat the TRX in acceleration either. Swapping to 37s proved to slow down some here beyond expectations. I was actually set on 37s but reading how much it changed 0-60 acceleration I changed my mind. Well see how the R's weight advantage will play against 37" tires I guess.

Does anyone know when they'll release performance specs?

My 37s dropped my 0-60 by .7 seconds. I would imagine Ford's Raptor R specific forged wheels will be lighter but I can't imagine by enough to compensate for a 1/2 second or more.

My comments above were meant for off-road comparisons only. Pavement numbers I think will favor the TRX with 35's (and no Rambar, tire carrier, steps, ppf, ceramic, bug shields, after market lights). :)
