What a absolute waste! Why put all that time and engineering into a truck that has been rumored to be the next big thing for Ford Raptor and then this what a joke. I'm glad I ordered a TRX and didn't wait for this circus show. LMAO!!

I know we are on a Ram forum but let’s also not be silly here.

If cost is out of the equation… and for me and many others it wouldn’t necessarily be an issue… It’s a lighter truck with proven suspension, better break over and departure, factory 37s, a variable valve exhaust, an all aluminum body and bed, a 2WD mode? AND a torsen up front.

It has alot going for it. Is it enough to make me want to switch or to buy another truck? No. If I were comparison shopping… I would be weighing my options.

Im just being impartial here.

"all the chassis upgrade work was done when they intro'd a Gen 3 raptor" but also says "once we launched the gen 3 that's when we decided to really start thinking about introducing a v8 into the raptor" --- I CALL BS!! #1 you wouldnt beef everything up for a v8 before you decide to even put it in there. #2 you wouldnt beef every raptor chassis up for a v8 and spend all that $$ doing so when 90% of them will be produced with a v6 (total waste of $$).

bottom line: they're trying to save $$ and use a likely underrated chassis for a much more powerful powertrain. Chevy did something similar when they put the exact same shocks from the colorado zr2 in the silverado zr2. How can a much heavier truck not need slightly beefier shocks??

Besides the engine we all knew of months ago they've added a lazy micro R to the grill, lame decals to the hood and sides.
The best surprise though is they passed on the blue interior which was a proven fail on the G3

How does anyone think this will be faster? Less weight, similar power and RWD, it wont hook and itll send TC through the ringer for sure. Raptors already light up the rears with less power.

Regardless, its a pretty incredible package. Raptors have always been great trucks, in my opinion, but never really did it for inside. Ford has always been bland there. Spending more money for a similar truck, nah. And for those who say better suspension blah blah blah, show me how you use the TRX, cause reality most of us, myself included, didn't buy it to mob through the desert.

I'm holding out to see what the issue is before I subject myself to the crazy waiting game again. There is no way any of this process is by design.

Keep in mind, the crazy waiting game only applies to some orders, I ordered late Aug 21 and received the truck early Dec 21.

For the 95% of TRX / Raptor owner who will never off road or sail the dunes at high speed.....Ford missed this on by 500 miles! It will be interesting if the detuned HP numbers are due to air intake, drivetrain limitations or simply because Ford was in a MAD RUSH to put this truck out and had no time to test under high HP conditions. Whatever the cause, it is an epic fail for Ford but they will sell every single one at a MASSIVE ADM!
