Yeah, that's what I told him but he's like my wife...don't listen. It can't be done with AlfaOBD and the old seatbelt trick doesn't work on the TRX.

Oh wow I had figured you had already done it lol. Glad I reminded you hahaThanks for the reminder. I still need to do that.
I use the pc version because i don’t have android, but conveniently do have a work laptop.Do you guys use mostly the Android APP or PC version?
I have read through this post a couple times but I just want to confirm. I have a 2023.
-Can I use the older OBDLink MX Bluetooth?
-Can I use the OBD cable adapter mentioned in 1st post or the ECRI Security Gateway Module Bypass or do I need both?
-Yes I will need AlfaOBD app, which I have Android
I want to do this:
-Amber DRL
-Add the Mopar Power Running Boards to Uconnect so I have a button to keep them out or folded
Once I enable the 2 things I want to do, I can disconnect everything? Nothing needs to stay connected?
Thanks!!
Thank you!I'm not sure what the OP was referencing in his first post, but most SGW bypass cables or the ECRI unit will do the job. Your OBDLink should be fine for what you are trying to change.
Nothing needs to stay connected. I remove the SGW bypass and OBD link after every change.
I used this:Thank you!
You’ll be good. MX+ always works perfect for me and the only difference between the MX and MX+ is iOS support. Not relevant to AlfaOBD.I already have the OBDLink MX Bluetooth so it won't hurt to try. If it does not work I will pick up vLinker
Has anyone turned off the seatbelt chime in a 23 with the alfaobd? Doesn't bother me, but a friend really wants to turn it off.
Well, damn. I just tried on mine a few weeks ago too, and I always got the parameters not correct message, same as the other 5th gen clusters. I ended up using witech to disable it last week when I had a subscription. You can disable it with Alpha.
You got to connect to 23 instrument cluster and go to program custom features and turn of seat belt alert .
I did this two weeks ago and works well .

No, you don’t connect to the body computer, you need to connect to the instrument panel cluster.

Just realized, that’s my fault, I’m way behind on my android version updates, and it’s not set to automatically update. I didn’t even have MY2023 listed on the version I was on.Let us know if it works .
Seems like it might be a hit or miss .
I got it work first try on a 23 dt rebel .
With the new digital cluster .
Hell, I gave up...thought I did the whole read thing and I don't know where it went. I never did the amber drls either...lolOkay, I found it. Here's a screenshot for those of you like me that are not fluent in AlfaOBD.
