AlfaOBD Tips and Tricks

I tried the OBD Vlinker MC on my 22 but for what ever reason it would fail to make the change. It said something about the reader failed to do something and to contact the manufacturer. Im returning it and going to try. The OBD Link MX + as you suggested.
Thanks for the write up its extremely helpful.
Everything was good up to the point you made the change?
What are you using for the security gateway bypass, and where are you plugging the vLinker into?
The behavior you describe is as if the gateway is not bypassed.

It sounds like you didn't use a security bypass. You'll need one of these too.

Just bought that, thank you! Does it have instructions as to where to install the device?

do we install this before we turn the truck on and connect?

Is there an option to keep DRL strip max brightness for parking lights?

I noticed it dims down when i switch to parking lights

It's helpful for others if parking lights are just that, parking lights. There's most likely some law about how bright parking lights can be.

Has anyone turned off the seatbelt chime in a 23 with the alfaobd? Doesn't bother me, but a friend really wants to turn it off.
