2023+ digital cluster swap (COMPLETE WRITE UP)

@Quietpeen and @Grey03svt have AlfaOBD so maybe they will beat me to trying this out. I’m optimistic but I wouldn’t get the hopes too high yet. Lord knows there’s been a ton of trial and error to even get this far.
i will make the change with Alfa today.

EDIT: Change made, now just have to take it for a drive later today.

I don’t come back with any good news. I went out for a drive and tried many different things and the shift light is not doing anything. I did notice that when I get on it and shift with the paddles or the shifter it marks at what rpm I shifted at with a red line. However it could have done that before but I never noticed nor was looking for anything specific. Hell I hardly manual shift on acceleration, do it more on slowing down to hear the exhaust when it revs up :ROFLMAO:

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Thanks for giving it a go. I've seen the line with my install so I think that didn't change. So odd on the shift lights, I figured it was all built into the cluster, all the info is already there

on the flip side I have no clue what the change with alfa did. I don’t notice anything different with the cluster. Like @OnTheReel said my truck was set for Type 1 and I changed it to Type 2. There was a type 3 also.

Here is what the shift light looks like on my 23. I need to have it enabled in the race options page, otherwise it's just the circles that never change color.

The tasteful thickness of it, my God it even has a watermark

That is my speed limit warning set to 95 to remind me I'm about to hit 100 so I don't get my anus turned inside out by CHP before I get around to installing laser jammers...
ahh ok, I don’t have a speed limit warning set so that’s why I don’t recognize it.

I can check on a new trx Monday at work as we still have them in house being repaired. I’ll go through the screens and see what happens.

Thanks for trying @Quietpeen. I will still try on mine just in case the older BCM or something is the holdup (doubtful). Also curious if someone with a 2022 would have a different result changing this. Just because we did swap to UC5 and their trucks would be original in that regard. Anyway, more than likely I’m back to the drawing board…

Well I went thru the screens and can’t seem to get rid of the trx logo. Went to the race prep screen activated shift lights and that didn’t do anything. Went screen set up and all of the items that can go there are nothing on circles or anything like that. Wonder if I have to be driving in order for it to come up , but had it in drive but no change from trx logo.

The shifter needs to be in the left "manual" position

Does anyone know the difference between part # 56029968AF and 56029964AF? The latter appears to be for a 23'-24' and the other for a 22' only. Does it matter which one is used?
