2023+ digital cluster swap (COMPLETE WRITE UP)

Where is the 'internet port' on the UC5? (for the small 2 prong wire from Jimmy) after getting the PITA cigarette lighter wires disconnected, i pulled the unit behind the screen out and there are a ton connections at the bottom that the 2 prong adapter could fit into. Not sure which to use? (or even if that's the right port)
the circled section below. Pretty sure it doesn’t matter which one it’s plugged into.

This is the one you plug into:

Sweet, thanks guys!! Thats the last thing i have left before putting it all back together again. (although have to wait until tomorrow for that now)

is it specifically that slot you circled or any one in that bank?
That’s the one the schematic calls out, although I’m definitely interested to see if someone used a different port and it works anyway (I guess it probably should now that I think about it. It’s probably just a junction bus).

What does it do specifically? (to compare if it's working or not using a different slot)

I think @OnTheReel told me that he used the one closest to the usb port and his is working as intended.

Mine is plugged in to the slot closest to the usb port but it doesn’t matter till I swap in a 23 bcm(if I take that plunge)

Hey @Jimmy07 ,

Those "Ethernet" connections; are they actually some form of a standard Ethernet running over the two wires or is it some other actual specification?

Yeah, mine’s definitely not in the particular slot Jimmy highlighted and it’s all good. It’s in one of the ports closest to the end. Don’t remember which end anymore, but think it’s the one nearest the USB.

Cheers, thanks. I was curious if it's some form of Ethernet proper if I can get some access to the uconnect system.

Might toss a logic analyzer on it one day and figure out what exactly it is
I do know that on the wagoneers, WL grand Cherokee, and the 2025 ram 1500, with the new canbus architecture, the mopar MDP blue pod can connect on the Ethernet bus for diagnostics.

Here's another question, will changing the BCM or anything related to this have any affect on the IGLA? @Air’d outSRT thoughts?
It will have zero effect on IGLA if changing any module in the vehicle. IGLA needs to be in service mode in order to get it replaced though.

Service mode, good to know. I'll check my box to see how to do that. Thanks for the heads up dude
