What did you do to your TRX today?

Picked up a garage mate for the TRX. And framed the window stickers and some posters

I picked a horribly humid day to change the battery out in my ‘21. Switched to an Odyssey performance H7. Also buffed out some light scratches on the driver door (bastards) and affixed my license plate to my ADD Bomber bumper for my upcoming trip to Chicago. Don’t wanna give the cops any reason to pull me over

Washed and detailed the truck and my wife’s car today.

Also got my sons Jeep in the mix, next week we’re swapping out his motors and plastic gears for metal upgrades. Shooting for a top speed of 12-15 mph obviously without a blower for now….

Ha! Iowa is also a front plate mandatory state ;)

I drive in Illinois every day and have driven to Chicago countless number of times with no front plates over the last 20+ years... you'll be fine :)

Shoot I've driven my Holden on my Australia number plates for the last 8 years.

Yeah I’ve been driving here in Iowa for about 2 years without a front plate. I just get a little nervous going into different states without one. Don’t wanna give ‘em a reason, but you’re probably right

You cannot be cited for another states motor vehicle traffic or sometimes referred to vechicle maintenance statutes/law while traveling etc, when you are not a resident of the state of the jurisdiction the police officer is representing.

So example, if you live in NJ and don't have a front plate, which is the law in NJ - 2 plates, and drive into PA, a PA cop cannot stop you and write a NJ statute, nor can they cite you for a PA law if PA was a dual plate state.

Funny to say this but you are safer in another state without your plate than your home state if its a 2 plate state.

I have no front plate on my challenger, no one cares, and neither do I. the plate holder is ugly, its not going on and thats that. on my TRX i run two plates but thats cause the plate holder was there already.

Source, ex-le.

This is very good to know. I was ignorant prior to your explanation. Thank you

NH Overland Aux Switch Mount, Black Front Bumper, Shifts and Grins Behind Bumper Light Bar as well as Reverse Lights. Next on the list are rock lights and 5150 Whips. Debating on Lasfit 3" ditch pods as well. Huge thanks to @Billet P who I could not have done the black bumper install without his help.

Do the cops bug you about the white lettering on your license plate? I see that a lot lately. I wonder if it's so common at this point that the cops don't even bother.

Took delivery of it this morning.

Then washed it, installed the Gorilla black lug nuts, ES Engineering stake pocket covers, and AJT billet radio knobs.

Then adjusted the exhaust tips.

Tomorrow I'll install the Mopar Power Running Boards.

They have not....yet (knock on wood) in the 9-10mos I've had it. It's supposedly illegal....but the good thing is there's those new digital license plates which are black with white lettering that are legal. So hopefully with more and more of those showing up, the cops pay less and less attention to the lettering colors. 🤷‍♂️ Definitely taking a risk, but then again I've had tinted windows for the 25 years I've been driving and only gotten 1 tint ticket, which was paired to a speeding ticket.

So did you do the white lettering?
