I had the mopar warranty on my Rebel. I think it was $2,500 USD and covered the truck up to 75k miles. 0% interest over 24 months, and I got a prorated refund when I got the TRX. At the dealership, I did get an extended warranty through the dealership (not Mopar) and it added maybe $20 to the monthly payment. For me, it's piece of mind knowing I'm covered if ANYTHING goes wrong. It's my daily driver, and there's no way I have the means to fix it should something

It doesn’t cover everything tho so just don’t get that pretense.

$2,500.00 - 72 month/100k miles bumper to bumper from the dealer. With how complex this vehicle is. It’s peanuts if even one thing that’s of remote value fails. Paying for peace of mind and if it makes it to 100k miles and something fails. I would say that the truck earned its repair out of my pocket. So in conclusion for an off road vehicle to have bumper to bumper warranty I’d say that’s a pretty damn good deal! 🫡

Is that a Mopar warranty, or aftermarket?

Is that a Mopar warranty or 3rd party? I thought the Zeigler quotes were $100 over cost. Below is what they quote for a Mopar 6 year 100k warranty.

Picking up my truck on Friday and finalizing purchase now. Shout out to Deb at Mark Dodge who explained the Max Care option, as well as an in house third party option that is even better than Max Care. Can be used at or outside of a MOPAR dealers if needed, and covers the same things. (With only small exclusions for the same items Max Care kicks out). Only minor catch is it needs to be bought at time of purchase only.

If you all are getting ready to pick up your truck from Mark Dodge ask about the LDS (Louisiana Dealer Services) "Ultimate Coverage Plan". 6 yr 60,000 mile full Bumper to Bumper coverage with $100 deductible, and it was compelling compared to the Max Care at invoice + $50. (I won't mention price here, but it's far less than these super high dollar plans and the equivalent Max Care,...) Doesn't need to be used in Louisiana only, so don't be thrown off by the name.

I want to respect their offering, so if you are waiting for your truck from Mark Dodge, just call and ask to visit with Deb on this Ultimate Plan.

If you have experience using the plan, please chime in as well. Probably not too many outside of the original 3/36 though I suppose. Thx!

First I have heard of this, most recommend the MOPAR warranty for obvious reasons.

Understood. I leaned that way as well and dug deep, but couldn't poke holes in this LDS plan. Looks like a clone, and for the savings it was compelling. More mileage is an option with that LDS plan, but not more than 6 total years time, so that could be a issue for those desiring 7-10 year plans...

I'm keeping my 2011 Laramie that has an unlimited mileage, no time limit, $100 deductive Max Care Mopar plan from many years back. Sure wish they still offered those for the $2 grand I paid. That truck will probably be in the family 'till at least I die. Then my wife's new husband will probably sell for pennies if one of my son's doesn't grab the keys.

For anyone else waiting on their Mark Dodge order, it would be worth talking to Deb about it.

We plan on keeping it for a while, so we bought the extended warranty through Granger...thank you Jackie! I've had mixed results on extended warranties in the past on other vehicles.

I plan to purchase one, just thavent pulled the trigger yet. Currently sitting at 3k miles. Doesn't the price jump at 1yr/12k miles?

If you plant on purchasing one I would get on it. I still get promotional emails from when I got my quotes.
Supposedly there will be price increase on Mopar extended warranty on July 1st 2023.

Best price I got was Granger Motors at $50 over cost.

I just picked mine up on the 7th and I went with the LDS plan as well. Too good of an option to pass up.

Friends don't let friends buy 3rd party "warranty" plans... 🍻

I am new to Ram. Never owned one before. I have owned many other brands in the past. Extended warranties have been a life saver sometimes and a waste of money other times. I am always on the fence about getting them. They have generally paid off on our Escalades, Fords, Chevy and Mercedes but not so much on Audi, Honda, Volkswagen or BMW. I just purchased a black 2023 level 2 TRX at Granger this week that I ordered in Jan. Great price. Easy purchase. Really appreciate that they sell these for such a discount. Thank you Zach and team! My local dealer is MSRP + 5k. Being new to Ram and buying a TRX I thought I would buy an extended warranty. Interestingly the finance person at Granger that I worked with wouldn’t sell me the Mopar warranty. He told me he wouldn’t sell that to his grandmother because it is terrible. He would only offer me a warranty from Ethos. He indicated it is honored everywhere and if I would have a problem using it just to call them. I believe he was being sincere. After reading posts about extended warranties I had decided that I wanted a Mopar one. After I bought the truck this week I purchased it online through Ziegler Automotive group. Thank you to everyone for recommending them, I would’ve never found them on my own. They offer the warranty at a great price and even less with the promo code PAYINFULL. $3625 for 8 year/85K miles and $200 deductible. The Max care warranty seems to be fairly comprehensive minus the usual wear and tear items. BTW, you guys weren’t exaggerating, these trucks are truly next level. It is so much fun to drive.

I don't know about the specific aftermarket plan you are referring to, and it may be good. When I bought my truck I also bought an aftermarket extended warranty that indicated great coverage at a lower cost than Mopar. Most dealerts seem to push the aftermarket because they make more money on selling those.

However in the back of my mind I was never really comfortable not having the Mopar coverage. If I had a major $$ warranty claim I am just more comfortable dealing through Mopar. Especially since I purchased my truck out of state and my servicing dealer is not the dealer I bought the truck and the third party warranty from. So I ended up canceling my third party warranty and purchasing Mopar warranty through Granger. Actually the cost difference was not as significant as I had originally thought because of the pricing structure from Granger on the warranty. (I was not familiar with Grangers pricing when I purchased my truck and the selling dealer did want a lot more money for the Mopar warranty than the aftermarket one they were pushing). For me I just sleep better at night having the Mopar coverage so the relatively minor price difference was worth it for me.

Where did you see this information? I have an extended on my Z06, so I am curious.

Didn't get it, wont get it, as soon as warranty is up ill mod it( same as I did with my vipers) , no use in paying extra if modding the truck. IMO.
