Yes, I should have clarified that, sorry. The extended warranty I was offered by my sales rep at the dealer also stated all those items are covered too. I'd basically be getting a full bumper to bumper and full power train warranty 5yr/ 100,000km for $4145 CDN or 7yr/ 140,000km for $5,145CDN. The only thing he couldn't add was oil change and tire rotation package like it was offered new.
Probably the dealer's discretion. You KNOW there are many out there that would point to the screenshot I showed earlier and say, 'nope, sorry'.

Not sure what the point is you are trying to make? I asked MY dealer what IS covered and for the warranty I woukd ve buying they said literally everything besides wearable items like brakes, wipers, air filters etc . If your dealer wants to cut stuff out, then don't buy the extended warranty from them. To save an argument I do know that RAM Canada and RAM USA operate differently and probably offer/cover different things so this probably is a moot conversation really.

My point is, I dont trust any of them. Unless it's in writing.

I’ve gotten it on my Camaro (no chances with a 2SS) and my current vehicle an F-150 (first time purchasing a truck). I would prefer it for the peace of mind as long as it sounds right.

And I didn't get one on my 2010 - first model year - 2SS and never had a need for it, fortunately. Granted, only 24k miles, so it would have been a waste for me. It's a gamble.

I feel you. At the end of the day it’s all a gamble. It just depends on if you’re willing to roll that dice.

I got a quote on 7 and 8 year with 100-125k miles for a Mopar factory warranty. Warranty quote was $8,800 to over $13k!!!

I got an 8 year/125k Ford extended warranty on my Raptor for around $3k. WTF on these costs?!?!? Did I do something wrong or has extended warranty pricing skyrocketed?

We got GMO mosquitos with malaria flying around the south so you know new lockdowns are inevitable 🤣
You know, seriously, that's probably what's going to happen;l as we get closer to the next election... Something just like that's gonna pop, you watch...

I just hope people aren't so stupid this time around...🇺🇲

Never underestimate the stupidity of people. There'll be an influx of college-aged kids voting for the first time & they're dumber & more warped than ever.

Anybody have any experience with Jim Morrison & Associates (JM&A) extended warranty? My truck is in transit and I've started the conversation with the dealer about extended warranty. They are offering the extended warranty through JM&A. Dealer explained that it covers the same as the factory 3 year/36,000 mile limited warranty up to 10 year/120,000 miles in the extended coverage. He is offering the warranty to me for $3800. I plan on keeping the truck for at least 10 years. Dealer said that warranty works nationwide, but just have to let the service department know about the purchased warranty if it's applicable.

I was planning on doing oil changes myself. Now I'm wondering if purchasing a warranty like this would require receipts from a shop to show that I kept up with maintenance.

Bro, don't do it. I know it's expensive but get Mopar MaxCare or nothing. 3rd party warranties are at best a pain in the ass if they ever pay out and at worst a total scam.

Contact us now for a quote on a genuine Mopar Service contract for your TRX or other CDJR vehiccle. We can offer this coverage up to 3 years or 36,000 miles from the in-service date on any Ram 1500 (or other Mopar vehicle you have in the garage). This represents a savings of $1500-$2000 from list pricing at most dealerships. We want to be an asset to the Ram-TRX community and felt like this would be a great way to help.

How do you get this started?

Please send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

Name
Address
Phone number
VIN
Approximate mileage on Ram TRX now
Coverage desired (years and mileage)

The entire process will be handled seamlessly online by electronic signature and a secure electronic deposit. Your contract will be in force within 2-3 business days of completion of the deposit and electronic signature. Mopar's Vehicle Protection Contracts are valid nationwide and will update electronically within their system showing your contract status, so you won't need a paper copy of the contract to bring with you, should a repair be necessary. It will all show up on Chrysler's VIP Summary.

Have another Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat or Alfa Romeo vehicle you'd like to add coverage to? Our pricing will be $50 over dealer cost as well. This should meet or exceed any other pricing you find online. The process is initiated the same way by emailing [email protected] with the information above.

Again, we want to thank this welcoming community here and appreciate the opportunity to help wherever we can! If we see enough demand, we are happy to extend this offer further as well.

Zach

Thanks for the reply. Just found another thread and reached out to Granger to see what their pricing looks like. My dealer really wasn't interested in selling me the Mopar MaxCare package (he probably gets less of a return on the sale?). But I've asked again for information on it.

I saw some folks on this thread describing other dealers selling the Mopar extended warranty, but I'm not sure if they are all just referencing Granger.

Pretty sure Granger has the best price. I bought my truck from a different dealer but purchased the warranty through Granger.

In all seriousness they'll probably cover everything but the powertrain (engine, trans, front/rear diffs) but then it probably wouldn't be worth while unless they cut the cost of the extended warranty in half.

Thanks brother! I think I might go the Mopar MaxCare route. Pricing isn't too bad - likely just going to get extended warranty for the time I have it financed. Granger responded almost instantly - my dealership hasn't gotten back to me yet.
