still waiting on my LE VIN too. Ordered day 1, dealer said still no VIN yet.

I ordered mine on Day 2... My dealer gave me my vin today on a Non -LE. D-Status

Ordered mine on the 21st. Started in BA status with priority 01, sold order and 5 days later it was in a BG status, accepted order. It is still in BG status just checked at 5pm and we are still awaiting a VIN but at least it is still valid. I will keep checking once a week, that's if I can resist checking more often.

Chatted with FCA support yesterday; they said my order had been cancelled, but... didn't know/say why. Called the dealer, they gave me some BS about how the original order wasn't accepted; and, didn't really elaborate more. They gave me an updated VON number, which I checked with FCA support. New order was placed a week after my original order date; guess I lost my original place in line. Soooo frustrating, especially when you're spending this kind of money.

Man that stinks!!! I'm glad you have an active VON though and a path forward atleast. What a hassle though

I got a BA on my order. I hope my dealer gives me updates, I wish they had like an app to follow the process for a 90k truck

Agreed. My dealer hasn't given me any updates. I've been using the online chat but keep getting the same response. "Production starts Q4"

once things get ramped up - I think these are the codes FCA uses. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. So if customer service says you are BX you know where in the process you are.

BD: Special equipment processing
BE: Edit error
BG: Passed edit n/a for schedule
BGL: Edit ok parts unavailable
BX: Passed edit available for schedule
C: Sub firm - Tentative schedule
D: Firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available
D1: Gateline schedule - scheduled to be built
E: Frame
F: Paint
G: Trim
I: Built not ok'd
J: Built ok'd
JB: Vendor
JE: Emission check
JS: Shipped to storage, really
KZ: Released by plant , invoiced (window sticker)

Who did you talk to that let you know what code was attached to your build currently? The representative I spoke with from RAM's call center said they no longer have access to the codes.

My dealer can't seem to be able to even produce any kind of order paperwork. They swear its ordered but I don't feel confident. I ordered a week ago.
Also, they asked me what second color choice that I would want in case my first choice was not available. They said only so many of each color were being made. Anyone else have to do that?

I am going through a color battle as we speak. Dealer sales rep called saying Flame Red delivery was TBD asking if I wanted another color to avoid delay. I told him I wasn’t worried about a delay, but wanted the Red. I get a call from the dealer GM this morning saying my order for red is being rejected in the system and can’t be ordered with his allocation. Even went so far as to tell me my deposit was refundable if I didn’t want it in another color. So I called and spoke to FCA FLEET customer service. They assured me I could order Flame Red, there was no problem and they were calling dealer. Waiting on confirmation of the order as it was re-submitted. Local rep indicated a quality control assurance was delaying the order for Flame Red which is possible but should not affect ability to order. We will see....

This was my EXACT conversation with them yesterday. I guess it's the luck of the dice who you get on the other end and what they are willing to do. I pressed mine a bit more by telling them my dealer told me to contact them and they did finally say I can see no VIN for this VON. So at least I got that. I'm going to text my SA and ask him to be on the lookout for the VIN and update me when he knows. Sure wish there was an easier and more engaging way to follow this process.

I've been fairly lucky, but I do think two things are happening.. A.) lots of folks are pinging them and they have developed a script of sorts now to control it a bit and B.) if you chat with them outside of normal business hours you have way less luck than during normal business hours. try back in 30-min to and hour and give it another shot.
