ordered 8/19-order input that day but not accepted until 8/24 since it was non LE. been at D status since 8/28 with a VIN. no changes since then...i bug my dealer every week for updates

same here, 8/19 no change, dealer checks every 2 days... still waiting for status change and vin, keep the faith... s

Which dealer did you use? My order is with a small mountain town dealer. Placed order 8/22. Still no VIN.

Just got an update today from my dealership stating that when the status goes to “D1” we should then get an estimated ship date from FCA. This should give us all an idea of when we could possibly expect to receive the new truck. I am being told we will likely hit this “D1” status by October 12 for the first production batch being made. So if I understand this correctly, if you don’t get to “D1” status by October 12 then you are likely not in the first production batch.

They are also trying to look into the cost of Chrysler extended warranty as this has not been released yet. Will post on the forum when I find out for those who are interested.

Just checked on the chat on my VON and this was their reply.

"Thank you! As of right now the TRX is slotted to begin production in the fourth quarter however we do not have a set date for this to begin. There is no VIN assigned yet. We recommend keeping in touch with your selling dealerships during this time for they are the first to be updated. I do not see there has been any updates to this order."

Easy enough. Looks like I'll be waiting for the updates...

My dealer had 3 allocations and all 3 are still in D status. Does anyone know how to see what ranking dealers are by state?

From past hands on experience and word of mouth from people “in the know”: If you are impatient like me, your best bet is always to go with a larger dealer. Rest assured that the better your dealer is in performing (read-sales, customer satisfaction etc as someone mentioned above) the better off you will be in getting your truck sooner than later. It’s how the business relationships are between the dealers and Mother Mopar and likely part of a business agreement between them as well. By that I mean there is likely a contractual agreement that rewards the dealerships who perform the best. This seems typical in most brands. I’ve seen some crazy stuff happen at GM dealerships in cars I bought in the past. For example in one deal, the dealer sold me a brand new vehicle for less than the same thing used. When I asked him why he said GM told him if he sold X amount of new cars that month, he’d get a big fat bonus check from GM. So he took a legitimate loss on the front end of the new car sale just to make the sale but knew he would make it up on the back end with that fat bonus check. Yet at another GM dealer I dealt with had no such power to do so because they had nowhere near the sales performance of the first. So, they were never rewarded with that same ability.

Yeah I said 2018, which was all I could find. I'm in Winston, I stay near North Point Dodge but they didn't know if they would get an allocation and had a wait list ?‍
