TRX Aftermarket Wheel and Tire pics! [size/offset]

Beautiful upgrade, did you add a levelling kit to fit these? Any rubbing?
No leveling kit on mine. They will only rub a slight amount when backing up and turning full lock to the left. I had leveled my 2020 Raptor and never was happy with the front end alignment after that.

Wow that IS a tight fit! But it looks excellent, especially with those bronze wheels. So if you’ve had no rubbing running those with stock suspension, I obviously must be safe to run the same size after tire/wheel after I’ve added a levelling kit to the front, would you agree? I want the levelling kit to improve the appearance and to let me run 37s with a bit of leeway..Thx, dave
A level kit would give you a bit more clearance in general, but keep in mind the tire still travels in the same arc. It would just not be able to go to the highest arc that it used to be able to go without the level kit. If you are happy enough with the stock suspension look then I'd just get the new tires and wheels and be done with it. If you decide you want the level kit later you wouldn't have to get new tires and wheels since they would already fit.

I now have a level kit and different offset wheels on my new TRX. I do like the way it looks better, but it does rub which is annoying. If you don't mind trimming, then that opens you up to more options. If you don't want to rub, but want to run 37s, then stick with the stock offset.

@Nitro , just a sugggestion but maybe you could make a sticky thread for the wheels and tires section where people can post pics of their trucks with various brands and sizes of wheels and tires that they have installed on their TRX. Request that people post the size, brand, and specifications of both the tires and wheels they are running. There is a similar thread on a square body forum I'm on, and it's a great reference for people to use when they want to get a visualization of how their truck might look with different wheels and tires.

Here is my contribution:

Tires: 37x13.50r20 Toyo Open Country MT
Wheels: Fuel "Rebel" 20x9 with +20mm offset
Suspension Modifications: None
Trimming required: None
I dig the wheels. Wonder how they'd look on mine (lol). Clean setup for sure.

Red TRX? Hmmm, might look good with Bronze wheels. Trying to remember if I have seen that set up or not. I know I've seen several red Ferraris with gold wheels, so the bronze and red TRX combo might work.
Here's a side shot. I have the top wrapped in black, and the running boards are wrapped in South Park wrapping.

God I prefer the look of mud terrain tires but damn the noise compared to AT had been a show stopper for me.

Thanks for posting the pics. It helps because I’m waiting on 20 inch Weld Ledge 6 wheels which are -18 offset. Going with the 325/60/20 nitto ridge grappler tires. Love the balance and stance of your truck.
Please post pics. I’m thinking the same set up.

I sure wish Toyo would offer their ATIII In the same sizes as their MT tires.....

.
Exactly…wanted the AT3 but in 37 x 13.5/20 which they don’t make.

Bronze might actually look pretty good on the wheels. The black roof looks good. I like that look on some trucks, but it has to be done just right. I think you nailed it.

Don’t they make that size in the rt though?
Yes the RT comes in 37x13.50 for 18", 20", and 22" wheels. Actually getting a set of them in stock for 20" or 22" wheels is another matter... Magically a set of for 18" wheels has appeared with one of my suppliers this morning, but not sure how long those will last.

Understandable. The Toyo MT is the best "road friendly" MT I have found. They only tend to get noisy if you don't rotate frequently (every 5,000 miles at a minimum), but you can get 15,000-20,000 relatively quiet miles out of them if you do. They certainly aren't AT quite, but for me the look is worth the noise.

One little trick I've found is to swap them out every 15K miles. You can throw the used set on Craigslist and typically get $500-$700 back for a used set in popular sizes (37" and 35" for 20" and 22" wheels typically sell quick). Put that towards a new set that will be nice and quite again. I've found this to be a better solution than running a tire all the way down to where it has no tread (and no value) before getting a new set.

I order 37x12.50r18 Toyo RTs 3 months ago and just got an update that they still don't have a timeline for when they will be here. Luckily I haven't bought wheels yet or I'd be bummed and end up buying something else.

How about method 314 wheels

Thanks, its definitely a fine line between quality and over done. LOL

As an update to my setup, I was not totally happy with the BFG's. I swapped them out for Nitto Ridge Grapplers this morning. This was a great improvement. They ride smoother, they are quieter and they handle better.
If you are on the fence about tires, buy the Nittos!
