RAVELCO THREAD

I

If it weren't for the members here waiting forever for their trucks I would have wished all trucks got taken from the RAM plant. That should teach them a lesson on making less steal prone trucks

I'm already on to hiding the horn wire so the pricks can't pull it off, disabling the shock sensor alarm...
Was thinking about getting some wheels next but why bother...just another few grand to entice these aholes to steal it.

Maybe we all outta sell these TRXs and get Rebels. We can no longer have anything nice in this place
Doin' the Catstrap system next-lol 7K to replace em'

What State? I’m in North Texas, the installer is in Weatherford Texas
Hey TrxPhonz - I'm north of Houston so Weatherford isn't too bad for me... can you shoot me his/her details? I'm still probably 5 months from getting my truck but I'm putting a list of needs together and this one is at the top. Also - just curious... total out the door cost for Igla? (product and installation) Thanks!

And igla also has a few different solutions. Which combo did you end up with?

I had the DS4 installed in addition to the Ravelco. Solid combo IMO. It has its own siren and it is annoying - no way they stick around.
i'm going with the compustar to compliment the ravelco - installer said compustar model i selected and viper ds4 are very similar

Houston has 13 (2 man) crews. You should be able to find someone closer than Weatherdord.

Why is IGLA better than Ravelco? Besides carrying around the plug?
Because you don’t lose the ability to remote start.

+7 (960) 503-30-39 Text that # and they will find you an installer much closer to Houston. My guy is charging 600 final price

Just scheduled my appointment with Chuck for April 10th. Not sure if anyone else in MA or New England is interested, but he’ll be in the area. He suggested not to use the viper DS but to use the add a sensor shock sensor. I haven’t had a chance to pick his brain about why yet. Anyways I hope everyone’s vehicle stays safe and sound!

+7 (960) 503-30-39 text that number and ask for an igla installer in your area. That number is who helped find my installer
My concerns with igla is that it's not very well advertised, difficult to find installers, not a lot of testimonials or word of mouth. It almost seems black market. Like if it's this wonderful product that does all these great things why is it virtually non-existent on the interwebs??

Anybody know of any reliable contacts or installers in the greater San Francisco Bay area for IGLA?

I contacted IGLA this morning asking about installers in Colorado and they said the closest were in Texas. Going with Ravelco.

Yep! Zero complaints about Rich. A put together, professional guy. Protected the truck with pads while under the hood. Had everything he needed on a table he brought with him. Not his first rodeo that's for sure. 👍
Did he mount yours on a little drop-down bracket, near the bottom left side of the fuse panel access? He just got here and said that was the standard installation. I thought there would be a hole drilled thru one of the panels down there and mounted that way, but what do I know. I'll post pics once he's done.

This thread is 33 pages long with dozens of mounting pictures, have you read any of it?
