RAVELCO THREAD

Hey boys has anyone investigated the security upgrades from Dodge? I almost got my truck stolen last night. I will post the video.
I wish that was the sound of your gun with those scum bags.

If you are buying a $700 dinner for the family and the food and service are excellent what do you tip? 15-20% ? Now you have a guy driving to you, crawling around your ~$90k truck for 3 hours being extremely careful to do perfect work and not damage or scratch it and the bill is also ~$700..

Yep. Chuck did my TRX and my wife's Audi SQ8 the same day. My TRX took him 2 hours or so. The Audi was a giant pain in the ass. German usually are. He spent 6 hours on hers! I tipped them $400 and a bottle of patron. Appreciate hard work. He drove from NJ to VA Beach, then back to Philly. He quit his 25 year job to try to make this business work. I felt good helping him and Megan out.

@Ducc Doing the same DS4 install to complement the Ravelco just as soon as my wrap is complete next week!
Nice! The add a shock sensor looks good (and cheaper) but I'm sure it uses our horn and Mississauga mentioned that was disabled quickly. From what I understand, the Viper has a separate one. As always stated, if there's a will there's a way but if I can do anything to make it more of a pain in the ass for the POS then it's money well spent.

After traveling to San Antonio this weekend, I was really happy to have my Ravelco installed before the trip. I felt more confident leaving the truck parked while going into stores.

I'm just trying to understand this.
I have the DS4 shock sensor complementing the Ravelco. How do they disable the horn?

So the installer is from Philly? This can’t get any better. Truck from Chapman, 15 min away. Ravelco installer local. 🍻

Wow! You got lucky! What was that clicking noise? Were they trying to use some kind of spring loaded glass break?

Yep, Sam said the tech's name is Rich. Did he do yours? Good guy? Clean install? Any complaints?
Yep! Zero complaints about Rich. A put together, professional guy. Protected the truck with pads while under the hood. Had everything he needed on a table he brought with him. Not his first rodeo that's for sure. 👍

I must say that video put me over the edge, Mississauga. I just reached out to an alarm spot to inquire about the Viper DS4 shock/tilt sensor to complement the Ravelco I already have installed. This is a first that I'll have more security mods on a truck than performance ones. 🤔
I had the DS4 installed in addition to the Ravelco. Solid combo IMO. It has its own siren and it is annoying - no way they stick around.

Midwest would be preferable, but at this point, I’d be satisfied with anywhere in the lower 48.
+7 (960) 503-30-39 text that number and ask for an igla installer in your area. That number is who helped find my installer

If you look at my video the guy in front uses a fish through the grill and pulls off the horn power. If you pull off the shroud over the rad you will see the horn. I am going to relocate mine or zip tie the plug in place. Its a known issue here the dealer found it in minutes.

Another four were stolen from the plant last night they took three from the plant last month as well.

I don’t understand why they don’t have armed security watching the lots. And if they do, they need to get canned for sleeping on the job.

And having a NOC with a security team watching (and leveraging tech for preventive measures) for intrusions seems like it would pay for itself. What do I know though.

Hard to not get political... clearly the issue is crime is up everywhere.
Members here paranoid spending money to slow down these pricks who get out of jail the next day.
We can't win this fight by ourselves. Something has to change coming from the top.
This is a joke. We live in a 3rd world country these days.
I'm going away on vacation for 10 days, biggest planning I am doing is how to prevent my truck from getting stolen while I'm away. It's ridiculous

Finally joined the club yesterday

If it weren't for the members here waiting forever for their trucks I would have wished all trucks got taken from the RAM plant. That should teach them a lesson on making less steal prone trucks

I'm already on to hiding the horn wire so the pricks can't pull it off, disabling the shock sensor alarm...
Was thinking about getting some wheels next but why bother...just another few grand to entice these aholes to steal it.

Maybe we all outta sell these TRXs and get Rebels. We can no longer have anything nice in this place
