RAVELCO THREAD

Awesome, I appreciate the input.

Thanks for all the helpful commentary here. Just scheduled an install. Quoted $650 and also from his email:

I'm going Ravelco, shock sensor and hidden GPS.

@ChemLab I may have missed this in the 26 pages of this thread, but what GPS device have you decided to go with? I'm planning the Ravelco and shock sensor for sure. Unsure about the GPS.

I ordered this one. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Great reviews and a month(ish) of battery. I may just hide it inside and run a hidden cord. But, grabbing it and charging it every 4 weeks really isn't a big deal. I'll charge it in my garage and just pop it back on. $60 on sale!

Not sure if it was posted here. Fresh TRXs recently stolen from a dealership

anyone have trouble with satellite radio coming back up after a ravelco install - I've tried having Sirius refresh the signal x 2 - apparently due to battery being disconnected for the install - dealer suggested I bring I to them - any other ideas?

Nope. Everything as normal after my install

people have reported that if you disconnect the battery, the radio and other settings take a little while to come back. Since I don't have mine yet I couldn't tell you how long that may be. But I think if you give it a couple of hours it should be fine.

Is it $650.00 for the install and part or just the install?

haven't heard about that - any links or directions? I'd sure try it.

I scheduled my install with Chuck today for 2/28. Looking forward to the piece of mind. FYI, Chuck gives a $50 discount for paying cash. Now all I need is for my truck to show up when it is supposed to.

thanks for the link - that fixed it

Has anyone used someone other than freaking Chuck? Where's my AZ/CA people at? 😅
I’m in SoCal,and Rich and an assistant recently did my install. All arranged and well coordinated by Sam (Samantha) in their office.

Yes Anthony; he said he did 4 TRX's before, but I guess they are not on the forum. Most people on here must be on the east coast lol.

So the guy that does installs in the Austin/ San Antonio area is a flake! Does anyone have an installer in the Houston area that they would recommend?
