Oh cool, I’m going to do that now. That should only take me about a half hour to figure out.Yeah, normally I’d put these on, but the control is a nice feature. You can also drag the deploy button to the lower menu bar so its there all the time.

Planning a video on it. Click the uconnect menu bottom center, it will bring up all the functions. Press and hold the button you want to add until It gets larger, then drag it down on the menu bar where you want it. Really cool, you can put the surround camera button, heated wheel, seat heater, etc there and other more useful stuff.Oh cool, I’m going to do that now. I always wondered about statements like this... "make it easier when washing the truck". Open the door, place your foot on the board, then close the door. The added resistance of your foot will tell the controller to leave the steps down. I used to do this all the time with the Amps on my '09.but think I rather have a switch mounted below & to the left of the steering wheel that I can reach in & hit without grabbing my phone or getting in the truck, will make washing the steps & the truck easier.

Well... when ya put it that waySo when you open & close the doors to wash the truck, dry the truck, clean the the door sills, steps, vacuum, etc, you just keep doing that each time all 4 doors? Thats a lot of dancing around.

I've got a set of Mopar power steps sitting at my dealer, waiting on my truck. I ordered the truck with the off-road running boards, because way back in August, we didn't know if we could get power steps or not.LoL! What are your plans for steps? I have the factory running boards & they work great but not a fan of how they look.

I'm coming up on two weeks in 'I' status - so your guess is as good as mine. SOMETHING is FUBAR'd with it, waiting to get fixed. Maybe they ran out of axle stabilizer bolts?I specd the factory running boards for the same reason.
ETA on your truck?
I‘m aware you can keep them down with pressure when you open & close the doors to wash the truck, dry the truck, clean the the door sills, steps, etc, you just keep doing that each time all 4 doors? Thats a lot of dancing around. What do you do when you park & want to keep them down?
Sounds like another AUX switch relay... we're quickly running out of AUX buttonsFound the steps settings in the Menu.... did not see a setting to deploy them and keep them down.... we are going to need a hack

The Mopar steps dont have a setting to keep them down?
Does the “locked” setting work like the amp switch? If you open the door so they are deployed and then with the door still open set the locked setting on the Uconnect, do they stay deployed regardless after that until changed back to auto? Not that I found..
The have Auto and a locked setting that keeps them up...

Guys, get in the truck and shut the door, all steps up.Not that I found..

Exactly. Mine has the same "DEPLOY STEP" Icon, and it functions just like my Limited Ram did. If you forget, and leave them deployed, they will self retract once the truck starts moving.Guys, get in the truck and shut the door, all steps up.
Press the ignition and go to the ON position, not ACC. Select controls to get to the Step button. Note, the deploy button is greyed out in ACC, you have to running or ON.
Press deploy steps and both steps will drop. Turn off ignition and exit the truck. Steps stay down.
So no switch needed. I haven’t tried to drive with the steps down, but not sure why anyone would want to do that.

Yes mine are working the same way also. And they’re very sturdy steps. I weigh 220 and they don’t budge at all. Mopar stepsExactly.
