I bought my truck from Texan in Houston and was impressed with them but have not had service there. I live in Tampa areaJeeze, I’ve been 3 hours waiting to get the control buttons done on Uconnect (steps are already installed by the same dealer) and the Master Tech said it can’t be done for add ons with the TRX. I showed him instructions, videos, pictures and he’s still clueless.
Can someone tell me of a Houston/Central Texas dealership that knows WTF they are doing.
Love the look!! Does it fit in your garage? Top clearance wise?Hey...correct....Frisco. I actually ordered from Bluebonnet down in New Braunfels and they installed during my 4 hr trip I drove down to p/u. Was going to flatbed it here but decided to trade in my Denali. Dear law school friend bought the Hellcat at Grapevine Dodge and said that's the only place he'd let touch his car.....true gearhead. So I'll be going there next week to have them flash the UCONN for them to show up on the screen. I got them installed at the dealer as then they'd come under the truck warranty so keep that in mind. As for the PPF...just picked it up yesterday w/ full PPF....ceramic and ceramic tint. I've used XPEL in Dallas off of Lemon by the BMW dealership for both my 2019 Z06 and 2020 M5 Competition......they're good.
I am going in tomorrow to have them installed. The part says 2-3 hours of labor. I am quoted 3 hours @ $139/hour. Which seems accurate. I can confirm tomorrow once done. Soulsea shared his invoice which had about 3 hours as well. Check it out here:Can anyone who had power steps installed at Dealer tell me how many hours were on the bill?
Yea, bought mine at AutoNation and had good sales experience but service hasn’t been spectacular. I live near College Station so I will drive.I bought my truck from Texan in Houston and was impressed with them but have not had service there. I live in Tampa area
I installed mine in about 2 hours. Easy install if the instructions didn't look like it was intentionally made to confuse peopleI am going in tomorrow to have them installed. Weathertech in channel deflectors. Sorry for the lame pics. Can't seem to get any sunny days right now. They look very nice. Do they actually reduce the buffeting noise or are just for show?www.ram-trx.com
I was gonna install them myself but dealer still wanted 1 hours labor to reflash/set up in uconnect. so figure I would only save myself 2 hours of labor at best. With them doing it, any issues and they have to fix it.I installed mine in about 2 hours. Easy install if the instructions didn't look like it was intentionally made to confuse people
That seems like a better priceI found it in a good price here for $1,281.00. And said that IT FITS our trucks!!

I echo this exact post. I have chips in the black paint from dirt road. I was roosting somewhat but not full romp.I was going to post this in a separate thread, but decided to post it here...
I can verify without qualification that the Mopar power steps will work on the TRX, and perfectly. They look and function without a hitch. However, they offer zero protection to small and medium sized rocks coming off the front tires.
On my first road trip, I drove from Denver to property that I have near Fairplay, Colorado. As part of the journey, I had to traverse about 10 miles of a dirt road. It's graded and in pretty good shape. Because I was planning on adding PPF to the black paint on the bottom of the truck, I took it easy - driving 25 MPH max. In the Raptor, I drove this road from 50-70 MPH.
When I got home, there was an obvious chip in the paint, near the driver's side plastic fender flare, well beyond the paint. Upon closer examination, there was this chip, and a few others not so significant, and the plastic fender flares were beat up as well.
A few weeks later, I drove to Moab, Utah. On this trip, there was some dirt road, but again, I took it easy. This trip added even more damage to the rear fender flares and surrounding areas. Did all the damage come from the dirt roads? I'm not sure, but I don't think so. I think that the majority of damage came from rocks coming off the front tires on dirt roads, as well as the pavement - maybe 20 miles on dirt roads, versus 1,300 on the highway?
Because of this, I removed the power steps, even though they are great, and replaced them with the Mopar steps that came with the truck from the factory. Hopefully, this will stop the damage. Having my truck already rock chipped is a bit depressing, if I'm honest. I'll know more next week, as I'm headed to Moab again.

If you off road frequent then you should XPEL it with ultimate Plus 10 but for the best protection, you could try this:I was going to post this in a separate thread, but decided to post it here...

Does anyone have copy of install instructions they can post so I can see how difficult before ordering.Go see Morgan at Tomball.
My steps worked out of the box automatically with door opening and closing. Haven't added them in Uconnect yet but had them added onto my vin. Just haven't been flashed yet. Not concerned with controlling them by button, all I care about is with the doors.
