New screen with update?

Hi everyone,
We are relieved to see that the graphic are returning! This is great news. We know you'll have no problem letting us know if something doesn't look right- but just reiterating to tag us here or send a message if anything comes up.

We would love to snap our fingers and give you full screen Android Auto...but unfortunately that's not up to us in Customer Care. This is another item, along with self-service updates, that we continue to advocate for on your behalf!

Lastly, as we mentioned in a previous post, the incorrect HP is next on the list to be fixed through an AOTA. Right now, we're hearing October, but as we often have to say, this timing is subject to change at any time for any reason. We'll keep you posted for sure.

Perhaps if the engineers weren't busy messing up TRX graphics, HP numbers, gauges, and vehicle drive settings. All of which came with the TRX new. They would have more time to give us fullscreen Android Auto. Looks like the apple OS devices have fullscreen auto.

Instead, we get nothing and trucks that are essentially bricked driveway/garage paper weights.

Have you taken these issues all the way up to the CEO? Fire all of the software engineers if there are any left. I heard they brought back SRT. Have any of those old guys been brought back? Hire American workers who know the products. Otherwise this joke will continue

Mine is still doing the dance when it feels like it three weeks after the update to 35.26. Never know what I’m going to get when I start it, it’s either perfectly fine or completely fucked.

A couple of questions as someone that is still waiting for the update. I own the 2024 FE and my current software is MY24.U29.44.
Will I see a different version when I’ll get the fix?
What is the right version for my truck?
I just saw that there are different versions out there that share similar issues.

All these software issues surely are not the end of the world but holy shit is this beyond the scope of retardation. The handling or lack of handling for something that seems so simple is completely embarrassing at this point. The level of incompetence is so unbelievable it really has me questioning keeping this truck. Forget about ever buying another Stellantis product and I currently have three in my garage. How could this be taking so long to fix????

Every few days I go through the same thing.. system reruns an update, and the screen bounces around for a while.. very annoying when I jump in the truck and am in a rush somewhere and want to use GPS right away
 
Post #804 shows how to address that issue I believe, I do not have Carplay so don't know from experience if it works.
 
Well, back to 1 out of 4. TRX graphics still there, 1 page of gauges, modes switches back to auto, and 520 HP. I do not currently have the dancing screen and don't use Carplay. It really doesn't make sense that there are so many different issues if we are all on the same version. Maybe the latest Uconnect doesn't play well with the latest IPhone/Carplay?

Maybe the latest Uconnect for the RHO with its stupid passenger screen is different than the TRX... oh yeah, that's right, it is and entirely different head unit than the TRX...gee I wonder if that has something to do with it...🤦

Maybe "lono" will chine in and give us another detailed explanation🤣

I agree with that, but I guess what I was saying was outside of the 4 things I listed I was curious if that may be playing a part in it? Jumping screen and so on, I don't know, just throwing it out there and knew I would catch shit for it somehow.
 
I have the TRX drive train graphics every morning now, however, only one page of gauges and the 520 HP graph. If I reset the radio in the morning, I get the second page of gauges but the 520 HP graph remains. The second page of gauges seems to disappear overnight or after a certain amount of time.
 
I called @RamCares published number today, just to confirm they have my VIN in their lists for the software fix updates. I wish I didn’t..

Their agent didn’t even hear about any known TRX software issues and told me my version is current.

And one would have thought that with all the complaints, messages and reassurances we got from @RamCares, calling their reps would have generated a different response.
 
I have a question for you gentlemen.. I don't have a TRX.. But I'm hoping to own one someday.. Are these software updates automatic? If so.. I might not get one.. LOL.. Seems like you guys have a lot of headaches..

Yes, but they can be stopped if you remove the telematics box.

Some more than others. The only issue I have is RHO graphics, a missing page of gauges, and the wrong horsepower graph. I would like to see those things get fixed, but if they don't, it won't change how much I like this truck.

Now that I am on a keyboard I can properly get on my soap box.

@RamCares This is a very serious safety issue and needs to be addressed as such. The vast majority of the vehicles functionality and safety features are tied to the Uconnect system. If the driver cannot manipulate the controls when needed due to a software defect then you start to see headlines like "Family dies in RAM truck due to software bug."

Nobody wants to see those headlines but with the current builds we are all seeing in our vehicles it's only a matter of time. Perhaps it's time to inform our friends at the NTSB of the various issues we are having? I don't want to use the stick and would much prefer to use the carrot. To that end, if you need more info from a technically competent end user I can provide services.

I have video of the dancing screen happening in real time if you need it. Another thing that I have observed. If you happen to get the screen to not dance. The edit pages to not be always visible. You get better luck by using a corded CarPlay connection as opposed to wireless. YMMV. To me it appears that the mobile devices are having a hard time establishing a wireless connection to the Uconnect device after the decision is made to switch from bluetooth to bt+wifi for CarPlay.

Did the agent pursue the issue further with you? If it was the first they are hearing about then perhaps it's time all of the owners start calling in.

No. It’s like the issue wasn’t even known to her. It sounded like a standard costumer service call, with the main goal of being polite.
I sent my VIN with a direct message to @RamCares, so far no one answered.
I tried the Mopar website, the Uconnect website and looked for a costumer service link, other than the phone number I used, and i got nothing.

Everything about this issue, from an update to a system that didn’t need a fix to the nonexistent costumer service is a huge disappointment and unprofessional behavior.
