New screen with update?

Buy a Ford Raptor and your constantly at the dealer getting it fixed or buy a RAM TRX and have no issues until a computer glitch and then it cannot be fixed. If only I could run my company so poorly and still have customers.

Maybe RAM and Ford should merge and we could have a mechanically sound truck with good software and support.🤣

What issues is the Raptor having widespread?
 
I owned a 2012 raptor and a 2017. Both were great trucks. Never had any issues with either truck. This trx is my first ram and it blows my raptors away. Love my trx. I moved to the trx because Ford dealers decided to be greedy idiots and not even order you a truck. Literally would not speak to me about an order. So F u and drove straight to a ram dealer and placed my order and had my trx in 3 months time. Very happy customer. Now it shouldn’t be that hard to fix this issue with the screens. And it should be reasonable to expect the issue resolved in a timely matter by ram.

Cam phasers,APIM issues, Sunroof tracks, high pressure fuel pump, engine failure and the list goes on. 35k in wattanty repairs through the extended warranty when I got rid of it.

I know multiple Gen 3 owners that have had Ford buy backs.

The Raptors are great trucks if you get a good one.

We had the cam phaser issue in our Gen 2, along with the sunroof. My comment was more towards the generation out now not the older gens.

AFAIK the cam phaser was fixed prior to the Gen 3 release.
would be interested to hear what the issues on the Gen 3 are.

The new AOTA campaign began to roll out yesterday (9/14). We expect that some of you on the forum will receive this first round, so please let us know if you have any issues.
Additionally, for @RaptorTillNow and @Wyoming_TRX questions about rolling back software, this is not possible. The radio will not accept a lower version, and your servicing dealer will tell you the same information — if they were to plug in a USB with a lower software version (T branch, for example) while you are already at U branch, a message will pop up not allowing the update to continue. In the past we offered manual software updates, and this is something we have communicated (and will continue to communicate) that customers are very interested in having access to again.

We look forward to seeing this AOTA continue to roll out and do still expect all TRX customers to receive the update in the next two weeks (potentially sooner). As a reminder, the AOTA-only functions a little differently, so you won't see a pop-up message informing you of the update like you do for a FOTA. The AOTAs are 'silent' and happen on the backend, so you'll need to check the affected pages to see if you've received the update and gotten the TRX graphics back.

As always, let us know if there are any other questions we can answer.

@RamCares take the MY23.T25.48-PROD file and open it in your editor using admin credentials. Add a space or period somewhere not important. Save as FCA-MY24.U35.27-PROD. Push to TRX only, or offer as a download. I will gladly load it and test. If it works I’ll buy shawarma for the IT department.

That still won't determine whether or not you have the new AOTA. My truck cycles back and forth between the RHO and TRX graphics almost every other day. I have gone 2 days in a row with the TRX graphics, so I won't really know if I have the new AOTA unless I have the TRX graphics for more than 3 days.

Is this AOTA going to add the second page of gauges that we are missing?

I have my doubts of what you are saying...but if this finally fixes ALL issues, I won't care. 🇺🇲

That being said, I have another question: Is there any advantage (in getting Uconnect PROPERLY updated) to setup Uconnect via my home wi-fi? I (and I suspect many others here) don't allow our Uconnect to have access to our home internet...So, as stated, would doing so provide a more sable fix?
 
She’s back! And page two of the gauges. I was on the gauge page on the commute to work and it backed out one level, so it must have been updating on the drive in.

Really starting to hate this. How does this shit get through UAT? You do UAT don’t you @RamCares

mine had that after update on iOS. This morning it was gone and operating as normal. Never know what you are going to get when you start the truck
 
Just to be clear. What would the new upgrade software version number be?
