Modding And Meandering ...

So my guess just looking at the stock wheel tire with the 1.5" spacers and the huge amount they clear by, is that 37s on 0 offset wheel would be fine, at least from an articulation relative to the top of the fender pov (ie. tucking). I can't comment on whether it would rub the front and rear of the fenders turning the wheels side to side.

Out of curiosity, I know one can mount 37s on a 9" wide wheel, but is it wise to? Or is that a non issue?

i know plenty of people with 12.50 and 13.50 37s on a 9" no issues.

Im on 1550 on 12" wide currently with no issues. I like a little bulge

37x12.50 on stock wheels and tires fit! I have been running 37s now for a couple weeks, and they don't rub!

More importantly, the most consequential mod of all has been completed. :)

However, their closest color to the bumper color is satin Black, and it does not match.

So I had the PPF shop vinyl wrap the plugs with a flat black film. Yup, my ocd is so real that it either had to match perfectly or not use them at all. My guess is the same would have to happen if you have the silver skid plate.

Who has four plastic tabs vinyl wrapped just so he can sleep at night? This guy. :(

Any special place to get the plugs? I will need some. I have not ran with a front plate in CA for 20+ yrs. Such a detractor...I would rather risk the ticket. That looks really good. The whole front end is beastly.

Anyone know what diameter and material the exhaust is after the x pipe? I’m gonna cut and straight pipe until a good system comes out

@soulsea thx for all the detail. Did you ever get any detail around the liability concerns regarding the spacers ? I like my stock wheels enough (first time ever) to keep them for now, but wanted to bump them out.

Anyone else know of any concerns with spacers?

So i don’t think there’s any real world experience detail that anyone can give us. Is it wise to put the additional strain on the hubs of a 6500lb truck by using spacers? In the long run probably not. Some people will tell you it’s a terrible idea some people will say it’s fine, some people will say ‘I run that on mine with no issues’ which is the equivalent of jumping off the top of the building and saying ‘so far so good’ at any moment in time before the splat.

Like I said wrangler guys run much wider spacers than these in super aggressive off roading environments and never have an issue, but their vehicles are more than half the weight. If I were never going to off road I would probably feel comfortable using them on the street, but I do plan to desert run the truck so as soon as it gets its axle replaced and passes its comprehensive dealer inspection, which are happening Monday, I will order new wheels with the equivalent offset to these spacers.

Thx. I'll have to dig in, I will be on the street, dunes, rocks, you name it. I would think the force from pavement pulls between red lights would be the most stress.

The safest thing then if you want this stance is to do it with new wheels with the right offset ... that’s what I’ll be doing.

Me: I’d like spacers.

My Shop: Choose the proper wheel with the proper offset from the start and you won’t worry about the “liability” issues.

What issues? No idea.

Well the good news is that they’ll be for sale soon, so someone can have mine at a discount.

A properly built set of spacers that have tight hubcentric tolerances and high quality hardware, and of course not going overboard with the offset; it should be a worry.

However, I would prefer a wheel built to my specs

I'm going to ride out my stock wheels until I see a better selection and then get one with a more aggressive offset
